    Its Just A Good Solid Dubber — good performance car, with a lot of potential... Start building it in 2007, did some tuning to it... but i like OEM style, so i keep it classy... bigger rims, lowered... etc etc... u know, V-Dub all the way!!! u love it or u hate it...

    Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

    Pros: its a GTI...

    Cons: price and the cost of ownership...

    Fast, Comfortable And Unsurpassed In Value. — The MkV GTI is the greatest "hot hatch" you can buy. The build quality is amazing, the attention to detail is impressive, and the performance is highly under rated. The 200 horsepower and 207 lb-ft of torque may seem like a low amount of power but the chassis makes use of ever single bit of power in the most efficient way possible. All of the torque is available from just 1600 RPM giving the sensation of being much more powerful than it really is. Handling is equally great with stiff, yet comfortable (might I say BMW-like?) suspension. It does suffer from some understeer, but not more than expected in a front wheel drive car.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

    Pros: If you like good cars.

    Cons: If you don't like good cars.

    It's Mine !!! — Performance: - acceleration good(but could be better) - braking average(depends on tire) - good (but VI is awsoom) Appearance: It doesn't make you say wow but its good looking, the interior is not breath taking but its above average Fun Factor: Built to piss off others :D

    Perfect — Overall it is an amazing car!!! There is NOTHING that i would change. The 1.8t is a wonderful motor!! Hardly any turbo lag from the Ko3 turbo! It is an extremely fun car to drive!!! German engineering FTW! I wouldn't buy any other car now that i have a european one. Very well built outstanding standard features and unrivaled performance. what else could you want? except a little more mpg's in trhe city. havin that turbo really makes it tempting to stomp on the gas.

    The Benchmark Hot Hatch For A Reason. — The GTI is perhaps one of the best buys on the market today, as it is heaps of fun to drive, refined enough to be a livable everyday driver, and well-built and luxurious. There isn't a single car in its price range that beats it as an all around. The 2.0T is a great engine that loves to rev and still returns great MPG, and the handling is forgiving and still tossable. High-speed stability and sure-footedness is excellent. I love my GTI, and it seems that others love theirs, as well. Maintenance costs are a little high - but it's a German car - so I expected that. Reliability has been great - I take care of my car religiously, and it rewards me with dependability. VW has really improved its quality with the Fifth generation GTI/Golf/Jetta, in my opinion - making their fun to drive, class-leading product even more compelling.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

    Pros: Fun, fun, fun to drive - an unbeatable all-around champ.  

    Cons: A little high on the maintenance costs.

    Didn't Get Car Of The Year And Car & Drivers 10 Best For Nothing — What's to say other than I LOVE this car! If it had 4 doors I'd probably keep it after the lease, even though I drove it into a wall and caused $19000 worth of damage (to my credit, I blame mismatched summer/all season tires partly). This car is perhaps the best daily driver under $30000 new. Its fun, great on gas, hauls tons of stuff and is comfy on long drives. Might have a new one once the lease is up!

    Cons: you don't like having fun?

    Just Test Drive One And Trust Me, You'll Like It. — Its everything I want in a car, fast, reliable, and gorgeous. Comes with a good warranty. Lots of mods are out for it if your interested in modifying it. The car comes with great features. Comes with a 6 speed manual or the new DSG or Direct Shift Gearbox.

    Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

    Pros: Car and Drivers 05-07 hot hatch of the year awards.

    Cons: Made in Germany

    Best Fwd Car Out There B/c Of The All Around Package — I bought this car because it was a great all around performer and was definitely better than the MCS or Mazda3. It was not what I wanted in terms of layout (FWD) but it was a sensible choice. But now I want one that's emotional (RWD)

    Pros: Great gas mpg, good acceleration, great standard features, good space for people and cargo

    Inexpensive Fun Car — this is fun ca to drive.......can do alot to it....if u kno what u r doing.....might have to do a litto to the appearance if u care about the looks......but i just like fun cars...overall it is a good car to buy. looking forward to get more fun with it. one more thing, i usually like stick over auto, but this car has an amazing DSG automatic system!! Fast reactions...

    Everyone Should Drive One At Least Once — not a a bad vehicle for the price the car can be pretty quick with a few mods and to start it has some get up and go with the turbo ...compared to other cars i have driven id give it a 8 it could be faster if it was not for the expense for the parts
