Best Fuel Economy Versus Performance — 170 hp isn't bad without torque, it casn be kind of a drag...love the reliability factor though Pros: great driving, easy to handle, gas is great too Cons: no torque, more of a family model even if it's an xrs ![]() Looking for a Used Corolla in your area?CarGurus has 21,274 nationwide Corolla listings starting at $1,895. |

Useful, Affordable, Easy On Gas. — I find sharp turns at a little faster speeds to be this cars greatest down fall. Brakes are wonderful, but I think they wore out a little too fast. Not a fast car, but it can give you a kick when you need it to, and an excellent first gear. Parking isn't a complete pain Pros: Great gas mileage. Cons: Back seat could use more leg room |

Small, Economic, And Reliable. But Not My Favorite Car In The Least — It's got a large roomy interior, better than my Accord. However, it's too quiet for me; my cars need to have a growl and Toyota always trys to shut their cars up, and I don't like it. It accelerates well, but it puts a load on the tiny engine. You don't feel the braking or acceleration, which can be hazardous because you might be speeding without knowing it. The car is tall and not very aerodynamic, but it's sleek enough to look nice. Pros: Good gas mileage, roomy. Cons: No growl, small interior features, especially the steering wheel. |

Great Handling, Good Gas Mileage, Average Acceleration — this is defaintely not a fast fast car...but it does pretty good for itself..... 1.8l auto 4 speed with over drive.... the gearbox doesnt have the engine do the max that it can do (which sucks)...... Pros: good car to learn to drive in.... Cons: computer failed already.... odometer suppose to stop at 299,999km (if it lasts that long) |

One Of The Best Cars In It's Price Range — The first Toyota I have ever owned. Has a lot of room inside that from looking at the car from outside one would not expect to have. I bought it after extensive research on reliability, how it will hold it's value and fuel economy. The EPA Rating is 35/26 but I get better than that. I have measured it and got anywhere from 36 to 40mpg. Never have done a measurement "in town" One time in a very long trip I had a real nice tail~wind and got 44, Really! A bit under powered but you can't have it all, either economy or power. But For a 1.8L with 130HP it goes up a steep grade nicely, simply kick it out of Overdrive and it will tach at 3800rpm at 70 on a 6% grade and scoot right up no problem. It is very light, about 2500lbs and in a cross wind it gets pushed easily. Must be careful in windy conditions. I respectfully disagree with the Instant Market Value assigned to my car, as it only has 62,100 miles as of 12Aug2013 and is in mint condition Primary Use: Family transportation Pros: Reliability, resale value economy, room inside and trunk Cons: I seem to have a difficult time getting the driver's seat and steering wheel tilt comfortable. |

Great Great Car — I've had this car for a year now and I am more happy with it today than the day that i drove it off the lot. It is a great car. The gas mileage rivals that of some of the new hybrids on the market. It looks great, drives great, the stereo system is great (6 disc in-dash changer,) what more can i say, the car is great. I would recommend it to anyone who is the market for a compact car. (written 5 years ago, 10/06) Long term update - This car is what I expected it would be. It's cheap to maintain, cheap on gas, very reliable (only thing I've had to replace is a head light, tail light, and battery). It now has 104,000 miles and hasn't had any major problems. Some minor things inside like the clock stopped working and the storage flap on the dash under the radio is very loose, but other than that it's been a great car. Owner for 1 years, 0 months Primary Use: Commuting to work Miles Driven per Year:25,000 Pros: Everything you would expect - great fuel economy, incredibly cheap to maintain, incredibly reliable. Cons: Not the most powerful of engines although it gets the job done, can't put the sunvisor down without having to move the rear-view mirror which is unacceptable from any car, some noise now coming from the door jam (seal doesn't seem to be very tight). |
