Great Toyota 4runner — Not much to do exept drive it. Low maintenance cost, ex the gas, but that is pretty much the same with all SUV's in this range. I still looks as good as it did new. When you are done with the driving, it has good resale.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Reliable, Low Maintenance, Fun to drive

Cons: Gas Mileage, Cup Holders

This Is A Great Car For Weekend Road Trips With The Familly. — The acceleration is awesome, the braking on a dime. The saftey features sold me F and R and Side and Curtain airbags, This is a fun car to drive. The car handles a little ruff like a truck sometimes but always maintains contact with the road. THe pwr ourlet in the back came in handy on a number of ocassions.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Space,Comfort  Technology (Nav, Backup Camera, Ipod dock, Sirius Radio)

Cons: Gas Mileage

I Love It — good ride and well built, has a lot of power and is pretty quick for such a big vehicle, only negatives is wish it had a 3rd row (which is optional but cramped) and its bad on gas. but that's why I got my wife a Camry.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: its fast, it can pull, fits 5 people comfortably, can go anywhere, and its very well bult feals solid

Cons: cant afford gas?

If You Want A Car That Will Drive Well, And Handle All Road Conditions, I Strongly Recommend This V — This truck/SUV class vehicle is known for top of the line quality. Engine performance on the V6 is sufficient for normal driving conditions. Steering around corners is acceptable when driving appropriate for road conditions. Quality is unquestionably the most compelling feature. Keep up with the maintenance and you'll have a vehicle that will maintain a very robust resale value. Gas mileage is adequate, better than the large gas guzzling SUV's and within range of the small lightweight SUV's. TCO is relatively low.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Quality and handling in winter conditions

Cons: If you need to seat more than four people....

Pretty Good — i dont like that there isnt a 3rd row seat because you cant fit as many people in it. It has a really nice sound system though. And its pretty sweet that you can roll down the glass on the liftgate with the keyclicker.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: accelerates fast

Cons: gas

My Toyota 4runner — Handles like its sport tuned, works great on the dirt. Its V8 is great when you accelerate and its not a slow SUV. Ive never had a problem with it. Its great for off-roadin and drivin. Great all-around SUV, even if it is a few years old.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Fast, perfect for friends and getting where you need to go.

Cons: If you want a car, its pretty big.

2006 Toyota 4runner Limited 4wd — Good very vehicle. So far the most luxurious vehicle I have ever owned. The all-time 4WD drive is really nice in the snow. The back up camera is well worth the extra cost and the heated seats are pleasant in the winter. The suspension is pretty smooth and the ride is quiet. The 4.7L V8 gives the larger vehicle good acceleration.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: 4.7L V8, all-time 4WD, heated seats, back up camera, voice navigation, and moon roof

Cons: mediocre gas mileage

One Of The Last Real Suvs Out There —

Equipped with things like HAC, DAC, a locking Torsen differential with true low-range, the 4runner is a true 4x4 machine in the same vein as Land Rovers, the legendary Land Cruisers and the Jeep Wrangler. Ours has the 1GR-FE engine - a 4.0L V6 with VVT-i that produces 245HP and 290lb-ft of torque. It accelerates without hesitation while returning about 21 MPG in mixed driving in 4x2 mode. It has a numb steering feel with minimal road feedback and is not fun to drive at all. The ride is comfortable - surprising for a body-on-frame SUV. It is good as a family hauler, with a large cargo area for your groceries, stroller and cooler. Do NOT get the 3rd row option like I did - they are too cramped and seem to be an afterthought meant to provide more appeal to the mass-market minivan converts. If you NEED 3 rows of seats for adults on a regular basis, get a minivan or a car-based SUV like the Pilot or Highlander. It eats snow, rain, mud and gravel for breakfast. It will take you to the ends of the earth and back with proper tires and minimal chassis prep. It looks like a real truck, not a "soft-roader". That being said, I would gladly trade some off-road ability (which I hardly use) for improved interior styling cues and a more intuitive HVAC system. Brakes wore out after 52,000 miles. Replaced original Bridgestone Dueler all-seasons after 54,000 miles with Yokohama Geolandars and handling improved. If you do your research, you will find that this truck has very high resale values and reliability ratings.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Off-road ability, toughness, reliability

Cons: If you need a minivan, get a minivan
