Great Little Ride!! — I bought a 2006 Subaru Impreza wagon a few months ago. Got it as a certified pre-owned with 41,000 on it. This car drives great. Enough power to have fun, but not so much that you'll go broke / lose your license from tickets. Handling is also very good. I have a 5-speed and with a little bit of heal-toe work, third gear cornering is a breeze. Have yet to have it in the snow of a Michigan winter, but if it's anything like my wife's Outback, it will do just fine. My only gripes so far are 1) The radio. Just not a lot of substance there; although my car does have a 6 disc changer, and 2) Size. My previous car was a Hyundai Sonata and while the Impreza is in no way too small, it is just taking me some time to adjust. I really miss having a bunch of small storage nooks up front. Overall, great car. I plan to drive it until it dies.

Pros: Good power, handling and safety. Great MPG for an AWD vehicle.

Cons: Radio; A bit too much road/engine noise at highway speeds; A little shy on interior cubby type storage.

Impreza 2.5i 2006 — Of course, I compare with what I had before... a Matrix 2006. Much more torque. I see winters in a different way now! :))) Haven't had it a year yet so I can' really say about costs of ownership but pretty good until now! Oil changes are about 10$ more than Toyota's.

Pros: FUN, performance, safety

Cons: Euh... found nothing yet!

My New Gf — I've looked at these cars for a while and finally got one a couple months back. I couldn't have made a better car myself. Sure its not the turbo, insurance would've been crazy anyway, but I love my car. Nothing but positive things to say about it. Quality is excellent, handling is great, and perfect styling.

Pros: Handling, styling, reliabiity

Cons: Doesn't fly

The Subaru Impreza Hatchback — A very solid, clean & good looking car. Good acceleration, very good braking and handles like a dream. The whole 4-wheel drive and all. Appearance wise exterior is pretty good and interior is fairly standard. Wish I could have a banging stereo. Ofroad driving for this vehicle is an absolute must. So much fun.

Pros: An all round clean solid car

Cons: It's all stock

Big Al's Subaru Impreza Sport Wagon — This car is a solid performer, with great pick up and awesome handling. The Symetrical All-Wheel Drive ensures the car stays stuck to the road in almost any situation, unless you're on a loose surface. The build is solid, though the back seat could be roomier. Cost of ownership has been minimal, with only one major tune-up being required thus far. I've put over 60000 km on it in the first two plus years of ownership, usually with a highway range of over 600 km per 60 L tank of regular unleaded. Overall, it's a really fun car to drive!

Pros: Great handling

Cons: Back seat isn't the roomiest

Needs A Turbo. — Awesome car, great quality I just wish she had more sack. Only 170hp, am going to trade it in for an 09 WRX when it comes out. It's a decently fun car to drive, but again, it needs more power. It also gets about 28mpg even if you mash the throttle at every stop sign and traffic light.

Pros: Functional, good quality, good gas mileage.

Cons: Not fast. Slides a bit when you turn quickly.

Best Bang For Your Buck! — Definitely a great car for the money. Very nice handling and acceleration. In the winter it's a champ - traction is awesome. Allways wanted an STI but the new ones just look dorky. Out of all the Imprezas I think 2005-2007 looks the best, really not crazy about the way the new imprezas look. Because of that I'm leaning more towards the new Mitsu Evo.

Pros: Handling, traction, acceleration, value

Cons: Interior build quality and options

If You Dont Have Enough For The Wrx Or Sti — this is a great car, a little step on your way to the wrx or if you have more the sti

Pros: handling is great, breaking also, appearance is incredible almost the same as the big brothers

Cons: nothing...

Snow Does Not Stop It — Replaced a pick-up and needed some space for carrying equipment/beer/etc. Wanted a sports car, and this was a good and inexpensive compromise. Would get a WRX / STi version next time, and definitely better as a standard transmission.

Pros: Comfortable, quick, practical, sporty.  

Cons: Auto Trans is clunky
