Pretty Much Perfect. — This car is absolutely amazing. My uncle has let me drive it a few times, and I absolutely love it. Driving through Los Gatos mid-afternoon with the top down in this thing is one of life's best. The shifting is smooth, the steering is perfect, the feel of the car is absolutely brilliant. I drove this car over highway 17 and had the opportunity to punch it around a few slowpokes, and it was the most incredible feeling in the world! If you have the means, i highly recommend one.

Pros: Superb ergonomics, phenomenal engine, great brakes, and when the sky is clear, i wouldn't go to any other car.

Cons: In a Porsche? Yeah right.

Round The 'ring — Borrowed on for a few laps on the Nurburgring in Germany. It was a 997 Turbo with 500 bhp. Never experienced anything like it, what a rocket.

Pros: handling, speed, grip, acceleration, it's a freaking porsche!

Cons: the 'Ring is only 22 km long ;)

Amazing Car — Well my dad leases cars, and this one's coming off lease after 4 years, this march, and we think we'll buy it for 60k and then bring it down to Naples, Florida. It's a good car, get looks all the time, and we have owned porsches for years. What can we say its a one of a kind custom 911 Carerra 4S with a custom body kit.

Pros: Engine, body kit, looks, feel, speed ect....

    Cons: None yet (N/A)

Tight, Fast But A Bit Harsh — the 2006 carrera 4s is a hoot to drive. Step on the accelerator and off you go. the interior of the new 997 model range is vastly improved over the old 996. Feels far more luxurious (which is appropriate for such an expensive car). A bonus for this line of car are the two small seats in the back. These rear seats are only good for kids or some groceries as no adult could fit in those seats. However if you do have kids, it is a perfect fit. Only downside to this car is it is a true sports car. The ride is a bit harsh. This is not a luxury sedan (BMW 5 series or Audi A6), the ride is far more harsh. This is, however, to be expected from such a perfomance car. Just know this if you get one. overall, it is a beautiful car with amazing handling and performance. A real hoot to drive... enjoy...

A Porsche Carrera! — This car was the best experience I ever owned in terms of a sport car, it is a reliable, fast, a comfortable ride. The vehicle is basically maintenance free, once you keep it as required by the books, I found out by owning it that the only thing you need on a Porsche is a oil change, as this cars go and go 200K miles without any major problems. Had to sell it, but will come back to another Carrera S as a sport choice. LCL

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: The car is very reliable, smooth, comfortable and it can handle any situation very well.

Cons: Maintenance is expensive, dealerships charge way too much for the brand.
A bit TOO low for getting in and out.

Love The Performance And Handling — Build Quality: Had no problems at all with the car, build quality is amazing. 12k miles and not a single issue - mind you for the price, there should not be.... Car Comparisons: Looked at other performance 4 wheel drive cars, audi rs4, porsche cayenne. Decided on the 911 c4s, due to the handling and positive ratings it has received. Updated review - have now owned the car for 5 years and love the car still. amazing handling, have had zero problems with maintenance. The gas mileage is surprisingly good (18-22 MPG). I've got 3 kids and they love driving in the small back-seats. For a small sports car it is nice to be able to take 2 kids to school in such a fun car. Overall still love the car.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

    Pros: amazing handling and acceleration

    Cons: price
