I Love My Slk 280 — I love my car. It's amazing how you get what you pay for. The car is beautiful inside and out. Handles like a dream. Acceleration and breaking are very good. Built amazingly. Gas mileage is decent. This car has a huge gas tank. It is so much fun to drive! I'm not even kidding. Especially since I've been used to driving SUVs as of late or small Saturns. It drives like a sports car but it's not as low as a sports car. You might hit your head when you're getting in and out though.

Pros: Pretty, fun, great sound system, retractable hardtop, decent gas mileage, handles amazing

Cons: Nothing yet...

Slk 350 — The best thing about this car is its very versatile. You can shove it in comfort mode, put the heated seats and airscarf on and sit back and relax your drive, or you can shove it in tiptronic and manual, turn off the ESP and have a right old riot drifting it etc. The car weighs approx 1500 kgs put the V6 3.5 litre engine churns out 270 bhp which is the equivilent of having a cosworth engine tuned to stage 1. For a car that weighs 1.5 t to do 0-60 in just over 5 seconds is extremely good, the sound from the twin pipes is also imense, maybe i'll get the V8 AMG next!!!!

Pros: The sound from the exhausts

Cons: The roof will only fold when traveling at less than 5mph, some cars do it at 30mph

This X-corvette Owner Is Very Happy — This Corvette and muscle car owner lovers my 2006 SLK350. It's very quiet inside and lots more comfortable than my vette. And there's more than enough power to get yourself into trouble if you want.

Owner for 0 years, 1 months

Miles Driven per Year:12,000

Pros: Pretty, comfy (I LOVE the hot air that blows on my neck), very nice sound system

Cons: Coffee Cup holder in a wierd place

Fast, Fun, Fantastic! — No dislike, but a preference...a couple more inches long in the Driver's right leg room. Then again, I can resolved that with the 350 SLK AMG or the 500 SL! Otherwise, this car was an excellent purchase for me and my need to drive with the top down. Airscarf is a nice feature, but I love wearing my colorful scarfs and hat/caps, instead.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: UPDATE MARCH 2014:  the car is still running great.  Ive had no repairs or major maintenance issues, other than the require annual checkups such as oil, brake fluid, etc.
JUNE 2013: I purchased a previously owned 2006 350 SLK with less than 45,000 miles from Oxnard MB over 6 months ago, AND LOVE IT!!!  I'm amazed to look down at the speedometer and see 80 mph!  It's a normal cruise for this car.  Other than the CD reject button (in which Qxnard repaired under warranty), I have had no problems with this gem of a sports car.  People are stunned that it is a used car...I'm still stuned too.

Cons: UPDATE MARCH 2014:  unfortunately and on occasions, the car attracts envious lookers and haters who will tailgate the car, making me put the pedal to the metal leaving them in the dust (smile).

The SLK55 has nice torque down below, compared to my Z4 M roadster, once youd get moving up top the power wasnt comparable as the high reving inline 6 would pull harder at higher speeds. Brakes/handling go to the Z4 M hands down.
