Great City Car... — This MINI is perfect for tight parking spaces and zipping around the city...as long as there are no potholes. The engine pulls this car around nicely (mit JCW CAI) and handles the turns with confidence, just don't hit any potholes or you will lose a filling!

Pros: Handling, Size (parkability), Styling (cute / retro)

    Cons: Ride

Sexy, Funky, Classy And Fun To Drive! — A great fun car that is soooooooo special to drive in the sun ((or night)) with the roof down. Drives like a go-cart and ever so nimble...point it where you want to go and it zips you there. Funky - body coloured interior is a must!!! So are heated seats!

Pros: Drop top, sun roof function, interior, image.

Cons: Rubbish for large shopping trips

Delivers On Go-kart Live Drive Experience — Fun and fast, drives like a go cart and has lots of room for the driver and front passenger. The extra horsepower was really a lot of fun to use in this car. I just love the design of the MINI, I drove one with racing stripes and normally I don't like racing stripes at all but they seemed to fit on the Mini Cooper S.

Pros: Fun, fun, fun to drive. Go-Kart experience is lots of fun

Cons: not reliable, reverse is next to first gear which is slightly confusing, not known for reliability (but BMW has a good warranty)

My Speed Fix For Now. — Good to cruise around in. Pretty decent performance for a car with less than 200 supercharged horsepower.

    Pros: Performance.

    Cons: Small size.

It Shouldn't Be Legal To Have This Much Fun Driving A Car. — It's a go-cart on steroids. Lots of fun. You can really customize different aspects of the car.

Pros: Has more cargo space than anyone realizes.

    Cons: Dealership is far away

The Most Fun Car To Drive........period! — Ever wanted to drive a luxurious go-cart with airbags? this is it! Although I'd imagine the 'S' model would be much faster and have better acceleration, the base mini is a bit dull. HOWEVER, it totally doesn't matter. You know those hair-pin turns on the on-ramps to get on a highway? most cars you'd have to slow down to handle the turn, not the MINI, with this car you can accelerate through it without any loss of control. The car is low to the ground and has a wide stance, allowing for the best handling of any car in it's class. The car is also quite roomy despise its name. 2 grown adults in the front and two smaller adults or children in the back could easily find this car suitable for carpooling. Also very safe and secure, and solid, it feels like a tank. I can't wait to drive the 'S' model!

Pros: Great handling, style, efficiency, comfort, and overall fun to drive

Cons: acceleration is a bit lacking, and at high speeds the car seems to feel limited. This is only the base-model's experience however, and I'm sure the 'S' model would be more suitable.

Big Package ... Small Car! — I have a close friend that owns a Mini Cooper S. He's a salesman that travels all over town on a daily basis. He absolutely loves his Mini and can't say enough about it. When he bought it a year ago he dropped by the house and let me take it for a spin. This was an incredibly fun car to drive. It was quick and very responsive in many respects. The twin-turbo pushes you through traffic with ease. It handled amazingly well to boot. I'm sure I'd be able to serpentine the narrowist of cones. Besides, he says it gets 30-32 mpg on average. Not bad for this little performance package.

Pros: Nice handling and performance.  Great styling inside and out.  Hundreds of options.

Cons: Pricey!  Small for my liking.

The Most Completely Beautiful Driving Experience I've Ever Had! — People are jealous around here and are hostile towards the MINI..Driving a MINI is like no other. Go-kart fun, I'll gladly pay the extra for the high-test gas, and get at least 20mpg. Could even be less because the sport of driving this one outweighs the cost! 1.6 Liter engine not even 39,000 miles on it. I strongly recommend the MINI if you love to drive! Recommend Cobalt undershield as rocks will chew up the Swiss plastic- GPS dominates the cockpit, and would rather know the temperature of the motor, the amount of volts, Amps and Oil Pressure. As it is one must "GO ON FAITH"- guess this will not be an issue until breakdown~

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: the CVT transmission: takes a little getting used to.  a pause while the fluids and belts start doing what they are supposed to is required here, but once you've discovered the M/S mode, the sportiness begins.  You can downshift, or allow the CVT to downshift for you.  Will get up and go but if in M/S mode gets there more quickly allowing the engine to rev to 5000 rpm.  I LOVE this CVT and don't know why people have trouble getting along with it.  Once you realize that it is a German creation, not English, attitudes are different as if on the Autobahn- Going 68 miles an hour and the rpms barely crossed 2000 rpm.  This thing is NUTS.  We are not in mother Germany anymore!

Cons: Tranny is somewhat slow, but once going will keep going. 2000 rpm at 65 mph, that's the stuff we take to the autobahn!
