One Of The Nicer Suv's That I Have Owned. — Very nice vehicle to drive and winter driving makes you feel like you can go through anything. It handles very well and it feels like it has a larger stance than it actually does. The rear seating is easy to move around and transform into a flat surface to haul larger items.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: It handles very well in the winter.

Cons: Would be nice if it had a little better gas mileage but the handling and drive ability makes up for that.

Awesome Fun Vehicle — I like the way it handles. It's fun to drive and it has a lot of room. The 2nd row seat is theatre seating. In other words it sits up higher so the passengers in the back can see better. It has sky lights in the 2nd row seating that has screens you can open for lighting. The 3rd row seats fold down fir extra room.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Great style, lots if room

Cons: Gas mileage could be better. But it does have a 4.7 L V8 so it's not any worse than you would expect.

Jeep 4 Life — Love everything about this jeep - 4th jeep and by far my favorite. Fun to drive, always ready for any occasion, very versatile - you can haul/tow/carpool etc. just as much a family car as it is a working car. zero issues, only fun.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Incredible power and classic jeep styling, fun to drive especially in the mountains.

Cons: Hemi engine requires more fuel than your average car, however not seeing too much difference in fuel economy from my Audi Q7.

Great Car For Family Or Lots Of Trips With Friends — I like the room, the cargo capacity, the stereo quality/sound is great, Jeep rides smooth and quiet, rarely had it in the shop except for routine maintenance. Great overall SUV and met my needs for hauling my kids around.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Is roomy and comfortable on long trips, very smooth, quiet ride, stereo sound is excellent. Not a lot of problems with car

Cons: Gas mileage, but a big car is necessary for big families

Solid, Clean And All Purpose Vehicle. — This Commander has been a great vehicle for our family of 4 for everything from short trips to the school, to vacations, to tailgating and for work purposes. It has been kept up very well, and is in good condition.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Reliable, solid car in all weather, for transporting kids, dogs, and things.  Rides great, lots of room, and with towing package and luggage rack, can take 6 people on long trips very comfortable.

Cons: Gas Mileage.

Looks And Performance Are Great, Gas Mileage Is A Dissappointment. — Jeep Commander is a sporty looking vehicle with unique features and lots of power in the V8. Tradeoff is poor gas mileage and less than ideal leg room in the back seat. The third row is realistically only going to be comfortable for younger children.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: I love the look of this Jeep! It performs so well in the Midwest winter season and has made many successful ski trips with my family! The rack on top is great for a Thule rocket box and looks very sporty! Goes down the highway smoothly and rear heat and air is a great add on! The third row of seats comes in handy for extra riders.

Cons: I would drive my Jeep forever if it wasn't for the poor gas mileage. I have the V8 so performance is great but the tradeoff is big bucks at the gas station. The back seating is not ideal for long legs, and with the head rests up, visibility is poor.

Great Jeep For Snow / Poor Weather Driving, Comfy Ride, Lots Of Gadgets — I loved how I never have to dig my car out during a huge snow storm, just start it up and drive, we have had some nasty storms since 2008 and I have never had an issue driving in snow. It's very comfy on long drives. Lots of room for 6 people. However the cargo room is limited when all passengers are riding. Thank goodness for the great roof rack. It's poor on gas mileage but when I can drive my entire family on long trips, it's worth it.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Best car I have ever drivin in snow. Never has to worry about bad weather. This Jeep will drive thru 2 feet of snow without an issue. It's great driving off road on the beach. It's powerful and very comfortable during long trips. Lots of room for a family of 6.

Cons: Not much cargo room if you have all six people riding in it.  Poor on gas mileage. Only gets about 15 mpg on the express way.

This Is A Great American Suv — Really enjoyed the space this vehicle has. The sunroofs over the backseat passengers create roomy atmosphere as well. The V8 has the power to pull your water toys up and over mountain effortlessly even fully loaded with camping gear. Great Truck comfortable and very reliable!

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Great for family and dog of any size!

Cons: Big at times

Great Value — We like the fact that this has all the bells and whistles one would want in a rugged SUV type vehicle. It has a very comfortable ride, but you pay for it in gas mileage around town. On the highway, it gets close to 19 mpg.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Comfort

Cons: mileage

Urban Assault Vehicle — Traded our 2004 Grand Cherokee Limited even-up for this beast. Needed more room (3rd row seating) and this just fits us better. Momma finally got her black SUV! Now to deal with scratches...anyone with a black vehicle knows what I speak of.

Pros: Better than a Hummer

Cons: Slower acceleration than our GCL
