Good Mpg, Great Overall Car — This is my first Honda Civic and I must say that I am impressed (2006 Red Model). The gas mileage is outstanding and handles very well. I drove the car from New Jersey to the state of Florida with like only 2 gas stops!!! That is crazy. The interior is roomy and spacious. Nice feature in the back seat is the "No Hump" in the middle for the drive shaft. The entire floor is flat from left to right. Very nice for carrying three people in the back or needing to get out of the car on the other side. The gauge display is amazing. It gives off this ambient blue color. Almost everybody comments on how nice it is. Everything is located directly in front of the driver and steering wheel. Overall though, the car is more of an economical car and far exceeds my first impressions. I would def. recommend this car to anyone that is looking for a sporty/economical car!

Pros: New Sharp Look, Reliability, Fuel Consumption, The Gauge, reliable

Cons: only 4 cylinders

My Honda — had my car 2 years, no problems and she draws a lot of attention. she's got rims, aftermarket dvd/navi, tint, headlight and taillights, 42 peice orange n carbon fiber dash kit, 2 12" kicker subs, orange neons inside and out...and she'll have a body kit eventually :)

Pros: she's pretty :)
great gas mileage

Cons: hard to modify
she's slow haha

Overhyped: Downhill From The Honeymoon — Traded in my '04 Element for a more sporty/practical '06 Civic coupe, which had just won Car of the Year at the time. Having owned a previous 2000 Civic coupe, this car felt like a luxury upgrade during the test drive. The styling was (at the time) breathtaking, materials solid, and overall cockpit feel "high tech". Plus, Honda's legendary reliability. So I got me a silver one with EX-exclusive black suede fabric and all-black interior. However, with moderate use (above 10,000 miles) interior parts started coming loose, the sound system subwoofer would cause irritating rattling, and I quickly grew disapointed of the durability of the car materials both inside and out. On the exterior, the metal -while molded gracefully- would dent easily due to the tin-like material chosen. And - the car's looks inside and out no longer justified its impracticality. The raked windshield was cool at first but became a viewing hazard, and the backseat room (or lack thereof) was humorous. The trunk lining of the car felt especially cheap. In Fall 2007 I saw Jettas on sale for less than my 19K civic cost, with much better build quality, interior design and refinement.

Pros: Aggressive futuristic style, honda engine reliability and economy

Cons: Design results in waste of space inside, shoddy exterior materials, interior materials lost their
"firmness" soon after moderate use

My 06 Civic Si — for a first car, this was an amazing car although it was quite expensive for me to own. unfortunately towards the end i could not afford the payments anymore and was forced to give it back. i did however have a ton of fun with this car and wish i still had it

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: everything about it

Cons: when shifting into 3rd gear it crunches and intermittantly does not go into gear
