4.0 Manual Ford Ranger — decent rice killer power, decent braking, handles like a pig. Great build quality except for trans. Interior styling very utilitarian. Exterior looks pretty good. OKAY gas mileage. very little maintenance if you get the automatic. Its pretty enjoyable to drive.

    Pros: Good power, functional.

    Cons: Manual trans sucks.

Ford Spotr Fun — performance the 4 litre V6 works wonderfully , fun to drive and looks great in Silver .Mileage is good but it is a V6 and fun.Love running around in truck to do , roll down the window and listen to the tunes on the radio or cd

Pros: easy to see over everyone

Cons: tonneau cover is a snap type

My Truck... — my Ranger is a base model, with only A/C as an option, it gets me from point A to point B and is mechanically sound, but it is too basic and boring to me. I don't even have a tape or CD player. Maybe if I bought a more loaded vehicle, it would not be so bad.

    Pros: mechanically sound

    Cons: too basic

Great Truck — Performance from the 4.0 V6 is pretty good in my opinion, I'm not thrilled so far with the 5 speed auto tranny though. With 4X4 engaged I feel confident going anywhere during the winter or when off roading. These trucks look great, but the quality of building matierals could be better. Gas mileage with the 4.0/auto/4X4 combo is beyond poor at just about 14 city and 17 highway, but it is a truck, so I expected that when I bought it. Overall this is a great truck, and serves the purpose I bought it for, which was getting around during winters in northeastern PA and hauling stuff when I need to.

Pros: Very capable hauling and towing, performance is good

    Cons: Gas Mileage

Best Bang For The Buck! — Good truck for the money! For being on a platform that is 20 years old it shows its age well. Performance was a little lack luster even with the big V6 so the Explorer Express Supercharger fixed that up.

    Pros: Good platform, sturdy

Cons: Rough suspension, 4.0L V6 needs more thrust

This Truck Is Not Made For The Street — Wonderful and reliable truck. You can tighten your torsion bars and stick oversized tires underneath without a lift. This truck does great offroad may it be 2wd or 4wd. It sounds wonderful with an exhaust. It isnt a hotrod but will crawl through anything with the right tires.

    Pros: Great Offroad

    Cons: poor gas mpg

Workhorse Or Budget Poser Pick-up — hard wearing, lots of useless chrome, tough interior, VERY cramped in back. and wheel arches in rear tray makes it hard to fill it up.

Pros: Great turbo kick at 2000rpm,

Cons: Very spongey brakes, suspension no where near up to task, you feel every single bump you go over.

Practical — Shifts really easy with the 5 speed. Not much cab room in the back seat, but who sits there anyways. Decent power from the 4.0 V6. GREAT off road capability, nice crawling in 4L. not much of an aftermarket, though. comfortable ride for a truck, 20ish MPG average. sounds killer with an exhaust, for a V6. its no V8 but it still gets the job done. doesn't tow much, can't tow my jeep.

Pros: great mileage, decent power, superior off-road capability

Cons: lack of towing capability, no room in back seats for people

The New All Aluminum Engine Took The Ranger To The Next Level — This ranger gets about 35mpg on the highway and around 25-28 in the city. the light weight engine with the hp and tq increase makes this truck a steal!

Pros: the price, gas mileage, comfort

    Cons: none
