A3 — The DSG is God sent you get the wonders of a manual with the luxury of a automatic! The 2.0T is an amazing little engine with plenty of HP and Torque to spare. As a Sport wagon a big advantage is the cheaper insurance! Pros: The Drive Train! Cons: No winter package in Montana, thats my fault it is an option ![]() Looking for a Used A3 in your area?CarGurus has 2,789 nationwide A3 listings starting at $3,000. |

Audi A3 2.0 Tdi Sportback Dsg S Line 5 Door - My Car — Want a German car that actually handles like a German car, but can afford the 'BIG' BMW's or Mer Benz ...... then Audi A3 S line TDi 4 door is the one. I liked it so much, this 1 is my 2nd A3 & I plan to upgrade soon to another Audi. So go on what are you waiting for, go get your own. Pros: Quick car, excellent handling, cleverly designed, beautiful exterior Cons: Could more more econmical on fuel |

A3 3.2 — Performance- Not as quick as comparable vehicles in price range but twin-clutch transmission is addictive to rifle through gears Build Quality- Right on top for comparable vehicles Appearance- Ex with S-line package certainly looks the part for the top-line A3 excl. S3 and has decent practicality Int- reminiscent of the TT with aluminum vent bezels and the center console Open Sky glass roof gives interiour a much larger appearance though cuts headroom Cost of Ownership- 4 yrs free maintenance woot -replacing with OEM tires can be costly with 18" summer tyre package mileage- average of 24 mpg with mixed highway city Fun Factor- depends on your eagerness to experience Wide Open Throttle while entering on-ramps or deciding where your limits of traction lie. " Pros: Build quality, Seriously quick transmission, 5 door with fold down seats= lots of space. 3.2 VR6 has plenty of torque/aural sensation. Luxurious. Cons: Will not let you win against STI's and Evo's; sometimes even a challege against its brother, GTI. back seats/ headroom tight for people over 6 ft. |

Best Premium Compact — I have this car for 2 years and I love it. The car is a lot of fun to drive. DSG is amazing, great performance ( Chiped - 252 HP - on 93 octane) and build quality, very low cost of ownership, great gas milage, and let's not forget it's a HATCH. That' s sexy. Pros: DSG Cons: Brakes could be better |

Amazing Car To Drive — wonderful driving experience. a bit pricy if you want to buy it as new. there isn't much torque and power in it as the two seater is only available in 1.6L engine. it's fun to drive and handeling is as smooth as it gets. engine sound is very low. great value for money. it would of been the perfect car if it had a 200bhp engine Pros: wonderful handling Cons: not much power |

There's A Reason Its Nick-named 'the Rocket'! — OEM Xenon headlight housing with SPP 6K 50W HID kit APR Chip Full APR exhaust H&R rear sway bar Neuspeed sport springs Hardwired V1 18x8 S8 wheels ET48 235/40/18 conti sport contact 2 EBC Red stuff brake pads/R32 rear pads GTI calipers front and rear w/ slotted front rotors Stainless steel front brake lines Black out Grill and plate delete Vent mounted boost gauge Pros: Great engine. The little turbo does it's job for what it is and doesn't disappoint, especially after a chip install. With the sport package and only springs, the car is surprisingly stiff and handles amazingly. Cons: Front wheel drive is okay but quattro would obviously be ideal since you can only throw so much extra power into a front wheel drive car before all you get is wheel spin. Stock brakes are weak sauce, upgrade is needed especially if doing many track days and/or auto-crosses. You can get by on race pads...but still...usually can't make it through a whole lap session due to brake fade. |

Audi A3 - Rocks! — The DSG gearbox is fantastic. I love my padde shifters. I got the Sport package and so benefit greatly as far as handling goes, from good wheels and racing suspension. Get this car - although it's on the high end of pricing, I recommend it completely. |

That Paddle Shift Gearbox Is Amazing — my black a3 is very black. none of this metallic or pearlescent paint, just good old solid black. i bought this car brand new because it worked out even cheaper than a golf GTi because VW wouldn't discount the car. basically they are the same car with different suspension settings. a golf is probably better to drive, but 95% of the time trundling back and to from work, ain't gonna make much difference. i opted for the paddle shift gearbox so my wife could drive and it is a revolution in gearbox design. changes gear instantly like F1 racing cars. handling would be better if it weren't for those pirelli tyres. i don't like pirelli tyres, they give up to easily and are poor wet weather tyres. i added a lot of options onto to car when new thinking i would keep this car for a long time. over 2 grands worth and that doesn't include the paddle shift gearbox. it ain't the best hot hatch, it ain't the fastest, but it does everything what the best can do but just lacks that final 5 or even 10%. all it needs is a slighter sportier exhaust, a change of head unit, and an engine chip. i'm happy with the car, maybe not the best but 95% of the time, it's good enough for me. Pros: size is sufficient for my needs, paddle shift gearbox. Cons: louder exhaust please, doesn't feel fast (though, when you look at the speedo, you're well past the national limit!!) |
