My Golf Plus — I love its space and the fact that it is between the classic golf and an mvp.Its colour is great and its very elegant. has good driving performance and strong brakes. As disadvantages I should refair that it has a medioum to high cost of repairing and maintenance and it burnes a lot of fuel.ITseasy and pleasant to drive!

    Pros: Strong and Beautiful

    Cons: Expensive

Why I Love My Golf Tdi — I love my VW...!! I've owned it for about 2.5 years, having bought it new. It's never skipped a beat. The performance of the 2.0TDI engine is more than adequate, with ample torque available from quite low in the rev range. Build quality is OK (built in South Africa)... there's one occasional squeak in the dash that bugs me a little, and a whistle from the top left of the windscreen when going faster than 100km/h. Interior styling is functional and efficient... typical German. I really like how all controls are backlit, and there is also a subtle red cabin light... a nice touch. It's a cut above the boring plastic interiors of my previous cars. My Golf is a fun drive, doesn't mind being chucked around a bit, and gives just a hint of understeer when driving near the upper edges of grip. The best bit is the fuel economy... which is sublime!! I regularly get average figures like 6.0 L/100 on a mixed city / highway cycle. Diesel is a little bit more expensive in Oz, but considering that alot of new cars need premium unleaded... The reduced consumption is definately worth it I think.

Pros: Fuel consumption, sporty handling, 6 speed transmission

Cons: South African build quality. Becoming a bit common in Sydney

Golf Mk5 — very good car im very happy with the build quility and it very cheap to run 550 miles to a tank. as its non turbo it is slow and you have to change up a lot to get anywhere

Pros: 550 miles to a tank

    Cons: non turbo

If Was Good Enough For Pope, It's Good Enough For Me.. — My first VW. German design appears to high quality.

Pros: Simplistic interior design, logical controls, handles accordingly well.

    Cons: Engine. It's not GTI.

Golf Tdi Sportsline — This car is awesome when it comes down to fuel consumption, but I believe some of the quality has been lost due to manufacturing in South Africa.

Loan Car For Scooby Bump — What can i say. This car is amazing. I'd have one tomorrow if they were so expensive to buy. I was given this to use by my insurance company whilst my scooby was fixed cause my neighbour decided to back into it. What a muppet. The boot space etc was as expected. Nice comfortable ride yet still solid enough to give you loads of confidence. What impressed me most was the performance of it. You could drive it spiritedly and still be excited. Best of all was driving it spiritedly still gave reasonable fuel ecconomy. Though the one time i decided to drive it like a granny I acheived 55 mpg out of it.

    Pros: Excelent fuel ecconomy

    Cons: Had to return it.
