A smaller backseat, but a larger 6.5-foot cargo bed are what you get with the 2005 Nissan Titan LE King Cab 2WD. Passenger doors are reverse-hinged, rather than conventional. The extra cargo space makes this more of a functional pickup than a family truck, though the cupholders, power outlets, and various storage consoles are family-friendly, and the long list of standard features and options don't disappoint. Powered by a 5.6-liter, 305-hp V8 engine and 5-speed auto tran, the 2005 Titan LE King Cab 2WD is a rear-wheel drive full-size pickup with 4-wheel ABS, dual front airbags, traction control, skid plates, a front stabilizer bar, dual front airbags (side extra), automatic headlights, foglights, rear parking sensors, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. It's not surprising it gets 4 and 5-star crash ratings.
New active head restraints and a dampened tailgate are additions this year. Inside, you get a CD changer/MP3 player, heated leather seats, power front seats, rear audio controls, wheel-mounted cruise and audio controls, a garage opener, security system, and power-adjustable pedals. The sliding rear window is manual, unlike the power version in the Crew Cab. Tie-downs and a bedliner are standard for the bed, but a cover, extension, and trailer hitch cost more. A sunroof is not offered, but other options include satellite radio, a navigation system, and stability control. Poor fuel economy and inadequate brakes are the main complaints for owners of the 2005 Titan LE King Cab 2WD, but they are gaga for the V8 power and the cargo versatility.
