Limp-wristed Need Not Apply — This is a proper sports car. Barrel-chested V6 up front, 6-speeds in the middle (Unless you're a poser), and the driving wheels at the back. The engine feels healthy and flexible and gives you loads of smooth, buttery torque, even at 30mph in 6th. The transmission is loud and a bit vague, and the clutch feels too light for such a brutish car, but the changing action is positive and you don't get the sense of being over-synchroed. Rev matching isn't necessary but still satisfying, through the extremely sensitive throttle pedal needs some finesse. The weighted controls make it really seem like you're man-handling it when you drive it hard. The steering is especially heavy around town but lightens considerably when you load up the front tires. Electronic interference keeps you out of a hedge in the rain but is easily turned off when you want to go sideways through the gates of hell, on fire. Summary: This is a man's car.

Pros: Waves of torque, benign handling, Brembo's haul down hard and are easily modulated, heated seats during NY winters.

Cons: Reversing is an act of faith, exhaust note is more acoustic trickery than engineering finesse, every guido wants to take a picture of it with his cell phone.

Best Price/performance Ratio On Market If You Love Sportscars! — You get 280/300 or 313hp (depending on year) compared to same hp of a Cayman S..but 20000 EUR cheaper! OK, its still not a Porsche and the middle-engine Cayman is a class of it's own. BUT - the Cayman, the new AudiTT and the 350Z share the same general design..but the 350Z was the first of them. The rear of the 350Z is dirty and therefore know as one of the best drift-cars available... and I love it dirty! But anyway you may drive him safely (with ESP on) and relaxed as a daily car. But if you go to the edge it is definately more uncompromising than a Porsche which may drive every housewife with same speed. The 'Pack'-interiour comes along with great Bose-sound and 6CD-charger, Xenon, Speedcontrol etc.. no need to spend any extra dime..except GPS maybe.

Pros: Best price/performance ratio I know! For a sportscar-coupe quite a nice trunk.

    Cons: I found none...

Four Wheels Of Fun — A dream car for me. Nice V6 engine that is fast. The interior is plain and doesn't have the luxury feel, but then again, it is not a luxurious car - it is a sports car. No rear seat, unlike the G35. Again, it is a 2 seater sports car.

Pros: Sleek, cool design.  Fast, and agile.

Cons: Two seater, no HOV drive ability, a little noisy inside - could use some more noise dampers.

Fun, Great Handling Car. — Definitely a fun weekend car to take up into the twisties or to the track. Not a lot of horsepower and torque but enough to have fun with. The stock brakes are weak anything more than spirited driving. Consider the track/Nismo edition with the Brembos.

Pros: Handling is super. Lot's of aftermarket options for looks and performance.

Cons: Not ideal if it's your only car.  Limited space.  On the heavy side.

Better Than A Porsche Cayman, Much Cheaper! — This car belongs to my father's girlfriend who often - even though not every time I ask - give me the keys for a spin. It is a wonderful car, no question about that. Yes, it is unfortunately "only" the 280hp version (not the 300 or 313), but God it goes! I am well aware it's a heavy car, but I dare anyone who drove one of these to say that it FEELS heavy, because it just doesn't! Noisy? Yes, but that's music coming out of this exhaust system. It proved to be, so far, extremly reliable and only the brakes and tyres must be changed too often to please the owner, and she doesn't care much when I explain that it is because of the weight of the car. You don't feel it when you drive it, but the brakes and tyres do! Another issue is the interior quality. Well, it looks nice with the Satnav and the ventilated leather seats (that we fitted as a retrofit in a Nissan dealership) but the plastics, the switches just don't feel strong enough. We've had this car for 2 years now and I think it's gonna be gone soon but even in this short amount of time, the interior seems to have been made 20 years ago! Well, I'm not being fair here: forget what's inside, just look at it, just drive it ... it's probably one of the best coupes ever. And that's even before you consider the pricetag!

Pros: Very handsome, very quick, reliable, not expensive at all

Cons: You need a strong budget for the upkeeping and abiding by the stupidly low speed limits can be tough. Fortunately, there's a cruise control ... operated by a rubbish switch!

Z — Neat car. I hate the pop out cupholder on the passenger side though. The first few times I played with it I thought, "tee hee neat." But now it rattles. And I want it to die. Other than that, its pretty fast, not hard on the eyes, and the steering, shifting feel, and brakes are all very nice. The ride isn't bad either.

Pros: Great sounds, once you let it breathe, the top end really opens up, steering feel.

Cons: Cheap looking center console, rattling cupholder

For $25k ...a Good Performing Sportscar With Decent Amenities — While Nissan definitely cut a few corners to keep the 2005 350Z's price down, it was and is a beautiful car that goes fast and handles well. Power is there all throughout ..definitely not a slouch at low RPM's. Nice utility with hatchback, although the rear strut brace takes up a fair amount of space. Output from the standard halogens is sub-par though. Have to step up to the Enthusiast or Performance models to get Stability and Traction Control. Only real problem I had was a strange coolant leak that seemed come out of nowhere..other than that no real issues. Overall, a great performing and handling sportscar with the moves to match its exotic looks!

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Great power to weight ratio, 287 HP made this car move fast!, comfortable and supportive front seats, controls/switchgear were straight forward and easy to use, decent trunk space for a sportscar due to the hatchback design, short throws on the 6 speed shifter.  Good brakes. Exhaust note from heaven!

Cons: Cheap interior plastics, 6 speed shifter bolted DIRECTLY onto transmission and made for firmer shift effort + shifter always vibrated, so-so radio, no sunroof, no traction or stability control on Base Model, stability strut in the rear gobbled up trunk space, standard halogen lights aren't bright enough + no fog lights either
