Honda Element — There are only 2 things I can complain about are the vents on the dash above the radio there is no happy medium with were they blow. Also the strips that are between the windshield and the door jam is a blind spot. Other than that I would own nothing else. It is a awesome vehicle. It is the easiest vehicle I have had to keep clean is fun to drive and easy. The only way I would trade it in is if they come out with a hybrid.

Pros: easy to drive, keep clean, gas mileage is not bad,  many uses for the back.

    Cons: vents on dash

05 Element. Heavenly — The Element is the best vehicle that I have ever owned! It is so unique. Roomy and fun. Incredible versatility with the seats, waterproof upholstery, good gas mileage. A cranking stereo system and a moonroof in the rear. I guess you can flip all the seats down and camp out in it under the stars and see them from the moonroof. And with AWD, surefootedness on the roads when it counts! It's so sexy too!

    Pros: Roominess, MPG, versatility.

    Cons: NONE

Lots Of Space, Comfy For 4 People. — I've packed in 3 bikes and 3 people inside - its amazing how versatile this car is. Super easy to clean, maintenance has been hassle free.

    Pros: Reliable, comfortable, versatile.

Cons: Looks like a toolbox on wheels - takes a while to get used to it.

Stuff — Carries a lot of crap, including people. Has a large stage for the hula girl. Passengers in the back can see their lives flash before their eyes with much more clarity than most back seats. Can make it up my driveway, even in the rain. Gets poor gas mileage - big square block going down the road. Kind of slow.

It's Okay...got It For Free From My Sis. — It's roomy. Great for camping and beach going. I do love the beach...but still...it eats gas up. Deffinately not my dream car.

Pros: Roomy, AWD, good sound system

Cons: Gas eater, appearance, just not me.

I <3 My Element — i've had this thing for 2.5 years now and i love it. it is lots bigger inside than you could imagine until you try it out. it's pretty sporty to drive for a box with wheels. i like taking the seats out and filling it up with my junk. i can fit skis in there easily. love it

    Pros: AWD, interior size, functional

    Cons: speed, crosswinds suck

To Soon To Tell, but So Far It Is A Decent Car With Poor City Gas Millage ( 16 Mpg ) — I bought this as A second car to tow behind my motor home (4 wheels down) @ was told by dealer this would be no problem, now I find out I can only go 55 mph , that is not even the speed limit on the interstates. this does present A real problem and I cannot get anyone to say why or what will be the problem if I exceed this limint

Pros: seats comfortable, handles good on the highway, cross winds do not bother it ,good breaking, good rear entrance at tailgate

Cons: blind spot in drivers outside mirror, hard to enter or exit rear seats, everything slides all over in side because of flooring. poor city millage (16mpg)

Can't Believe Honda Stopped Making This Vehicle! — Bought this vehicle yesterday - very clean and looks sharp with 93K miles on it - only one small worn spot on driver's side seat back - it has held up quite well and think I made a smart purchase -my ratings are expectations based on reviews - will update as appropriate.

    Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: AWD and 5 speed tranny - just my style -  - love the utilitarian nature of the vehicle as I am an avid outdoorsman.

Cons: Too early to tell - so far so good.

Good For Many But Limited For Some. — Unique styling and design accents. Rear passenger doors are inconvenient for passengers and driver at times. Good sound system on EX. Automatic transmission is preferable for this vehicle. Seats 4 but good room for cargo. Oversized tires helped a great deal with the gear ratio/mpg/driveability issue.

    Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: It is a unique little SUV. AWD.  Headroom gives open roomy feel. Better fuel economy than many SUVs. Interior is made to accommodate water soaked clothes and gear. Rear seats are removable and can pivot up and latch flat against the sides. Ahead of its time, the Element is just out of range of real star status due to the lack of real world driveline calibration. Performing maintenance is normal and convenient. This vehicle is honestly hard to replace with a comparable vehicle without paying far too much or sacrificing gas mileage tremendously. With the addition of larger offroad tires snow handling,  grip, ride and offroad clearance and ability improve noticeably well beyond front wheel drive equipped vehicles.

Cons: Quirky handling. 5 speed should be a 6 speed. Fuel consumption increases above 3500 rpm or 70 mph. Weight distribution too much to rear causing front wheel spin on an incline. AWD should start out as RWD engaging front as needed which is opposite to what it does. Makes a funny noise in reverse and gearing can be a bit jerky with manual trans. Incorrect fitting O.E. tires too small for vehicle from factory. Limited storage compartments. Attaching brush guard or bull bar is easy but mounting points are weak and mostly cosmetic. Engine space is tight for serpentine belt replacement. This not a heavy load rated vehicle and can be underpowered for that purpose. Objects and pets will slide on floor if not braced.

A Throwback To The 70's Era Domestics (and Not In A Good Way). — Responsive, although power is slightly lacking. Is plagued by the Honda gremlin found on so many other Hondas with build quality-interior being on the cheap side. Styling is decent, but molded pillars and doors are all generic for every trim and package (ie-audio package has tweeters in the front dash pillars, same pillars are used for all trims regardless if tweeters are actually installed or not). Mileage for me is constant in the 22-25mpg range, which is probably expected for a smaller 4 cylinder engine pulling such a large body. Low quality parts on the interior plague the vehicle, have had 3 months and already have torque converter shudder (makes it feel like the transmission is locked between gears), and am replacing the passenger window regulator/window motor. Has a rattle that sounds like the breather box is loose and rolling around the engine bay (have replaced the air intake system with an Injen system so this is NOT what the noise is). I originally gave this vehicle a glowing review, but after only 3 months I should NOT be having these kinds of issues. This will probably be the last Honda I ever purchase.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: If you're in the market for a sporty crossover that has the room of an SUV but the gas mileage of a sedan this is the vehicle for you.

Cons: If you're looking for good gas mileage and aren't needing extra cargo room, or just need a little in-town commuter this isn't for you. Additionally build quality is poor and will leave you visiting the dealership often.
