Cool Family Car With Climate Control Issues — The car will hold a lot of people and equipment. It drives like a car, not a van or truck with a low center of gravity. Ergonomics are well thought out and unbelievably comfortable. It has a lot of areas to store things close to the driver. Highschoolers are transported with all their junk a lot easier. Just need to resolve the A/C issues!

    Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Just replaced wife's car that was totalled - so not sure yet.  Wife loves it, I will check it out if I can ever find her not in it :-)

Cons: Air conditioner has problem, blowing hot or warm air.  We live in a hot climate so I need to get this fixed.  There seems to be a lot of problems with this on the Fords from what I have found

Rather Have A Porsche But Good For Getting Around Town And Driving On The Snow. — Quiet, dependable, comfortable vehicle. Ours has leather a sunroof, a nice stereo. I wish it had more low end power. The CVT transmission (shiftless) doesn't have the get up and go that you would expect. We wish the gas mileage was a little better, but it does have AWD and traction control, which is great for the snow, soooooo....

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Seats 7 fairly comfortably, AWD is nice.

Cons: Lacks low-end power, grunt (if you will).

Love It — The Freestyle is a great family car and seats 7. Very nice interior and super in the winter. We have had no problems with it and it drives great. Everything is within reach of the driver and the kids have a lot of room and no one is fighting for space.

    Primary Use: Family transportation

    Pros: great family car

    Cons: NONE

Okay — The milage on this car is hard to manage. I commute 100 miles to work and this can get quiet expensive considering the price of gas is 2.18. The car handles well in the rain. I guess because it is AWD.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

    Pros: nothing

    Cons: gas

Not Your Typical F.o.r.d. — Lots of storage with third row seat folded down, 7 passenger seating is handy for the family trips, Don't even notice AWD, Nice 17 inch factory rims, easy access to third row seat, Could use the 4.6L V8 though, previously owned models are affordable, decent on fuel, sway bar links are clunking over bumps (easy fix), cheap aftermarket brakes squeal (typical), Looks nice but the Taurus X looks even nicer.

    Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Convenience of a mini van, but NOT a mini van.

Cons: No sun roof or leather.

Love It And Would Reccomend It For A Family — Not really good acceleration, but not needed as a family car. Solid and built well. Love the look, and at least its not a minivan. Fairly fun to drive, will pass most on the highway. Would reccomned it to you.

    Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Lots of room, and love the AWD

Cons: No real power off the line

A Ford I Actually Like. — Awesome family vehicle. Better gas mileage than an SUV, and as much room as Minivan. Drives great with plenty of power. Avg. 22-25 mpg. Has enough room for whole family and lots of groceries. The folding seats offer a lot of options for hauling people and cargo.

    Pros: Comfort/Room

    Cons: Ford

My New To Me Suv — Well it is fully loaded so I liked it right away but it also has a CVT tranny which means i never even feel the engine shift. It makes for a very smooth ride. Bought it used which made it so much cheaper than new!

    Pros: loaded

    Cons: only 20mpg

Pimp Wagon — that its a awd wagon that seats 7 and rolls on dubs. it is not the fastest car on the earth but runs well for its size. ride is sporty for a car as long as an expidition. and get decent fuel miliage 20-24mpg. probally the safest car on the road!

    Pros: roomy and safe

    Cons: slow

2005 Freestyle Se — Nice car, hauls my stuff around town and far from town without being gas-hungry... Wished it was appointed a little bit better, the new Taurus X addresses everything the freestyle fell short on, being a much more awesome car nonetheless... No marketing whatsoever on the part of FoMoCo whatsoever will make this care go the way of the Taurus..

Pros: Driving position, quietness, gas-sipping for a V6, roomy and comfortable

Cons: Interior quality, iffy design, some cheap materials used

Excellent Family Vehicle/highway Cruiser By riverdog29

Beware! Very Bad Transmission, Very Expensive Fix/replace, Replace Again By bkkjot
