I Love It. This Is My Road Trip Machine. — It's a pretty decent car. Really responsive throttle, okay braking, and a little more body roll than I'd hope for but it works. Since it's not too stiff it's fun to drive, especially in the snow. As for the quality, the sunglasses holder rattles and a weird noise comes from the heater when it's cold. Overall, it's a cheap, fun way to get around town, and it has enough room for your spontaneous road trips.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: You'll probably find one for cheap, and it's not a Cavalier or Civic.

Cons: Your friends might make fun of you for driving it.

Good Economy Vehicle — Its no aston martin, but it sounds nice, looks decent, gets me from A-B, and has a nice stereo system. It gets great gas mileage, saving money there. They are cheap to purchase and easy to modify inside and out.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Good gas mileage and big trunk

Cons: Needs frequent repairs

Fun, But Dangerous — it was a really fun car to drive. needed a little more power. beat many cars because they underestimated the little red focus. rated at 151 hp and being so small with a 5spd manual transmition. handled extremly well for a compact 4 door car. reminded me of the old jettas. was like a over sized go cart

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: its a all around fun car to drive

Cons: mine burst into flames in the middle of a highway

My White Diesel Focus — what can i say its a 90bhp diesel!! and i'm a diesel kinda guy!! it shall be chipped to reduce fuel bill or increase it! bad tendancy to spin wheels in tight bends, would be better if it was fitted with discs on the back

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: turbo

Cons: drum brakes

It's A Gramma Car. — acceleration is awful. handling is pretty good. it is built alright, but cheap interior. overall performance is not good. the cost of ownership seems to be pretty low and it does get good gas mileage. Overall, a good utility car, fun to drive in the snow, but other than that, not my dream car.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: cheap, and easy to drive

Cons: if you like performance

Buy It. It Looks Like A Sporty Euro-sedan And Handles Like A Bmw 3-series. — The ST looks more aggressive when the silver grille insert is swapped out with the black one from the SES. I can't give a 5-star rating on the build since there's a LOT of plastic in the interior and unfortunately made more on the "cheap side" causing it to break more easily than in other models. I can only give 4-stars for the 'appearance' category since the black rear-bumper insert doesn't have provisions for a second exhaust tip. This requires fabrication on the user-end. Performance-wise, this car hauls ass and is about as quick as a Mustang GT when purchased as the ST package. On long road trips, a trip to Austin and back was made on only one tank of gas and totalled 408 miles. The Fun Factor increases considerable when adding performance parts from www.steedafocus.com and www.focussport.com. If you're a gearhead, opt in for the Cosworth build-up kits.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Cost-wise; very good, great mileage, seating capacity for 5.

Cons: Avoid the 2005 model, get the 2006-2007 model.  The motor which turns CDs in the headunit is made by Sony for the 2005 model and burns out after a while.  The 2006 and 2007 models are made by Delphi.
