Super... It Does Everything I Bought It To Do. — Great SUV. VERY comfortable and could tow a house if you could figure out how to attach it. I guess for the size, the mileage is not that bad... 13 town and 18 highway. It was better before I was forced to buy 10% Ethanol That seems to be the biggest joke on the American motorist ever perpetrated. Cuts the mileage by 10% also. This has made corn product go higher in the process. When are we going to go to hydrogen? Burn water! I have read articles on this car and they seem to find things wrong with it that I don't. I think a lot of the problems people have are from their own doing. Routine maintenance is big in my book. Most people do not pay attention as long as their car starts when they get in it. I usually get 180k-250k miles on my cars before I get rid of them and they still run and look good. This is not a sport car so I didn't expect high performance from it. It has no problem keeping up with traffic and I am happy. I think it is well built and good looking for what it is.

    Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: If you travel a lot, tow or carry big loads inside. it can't be beat.

Cons: If you can't accept the mileage, don't even look at one.

Lemon - Do Not Buy! — This is the worst year to have bought an Expedition!!! Issues after issues after issues! Everything from draining batteries to abs/traction controls dying. 3 Alternators( 5 yrs)Manifolds to sevre motor issues! Ford can't even seem to fix the problems!!!! This is a LEMON!! Met a new friend just moved to town, same vehicle, same year, right down to the same colour same issues - its just costing us money to keep them on the road - not happy!

    Primary Use: Family transportation

    Pros: None!

Cons: Poorly built - keeps breaking down expensive tempory fixes

Very Reliable And Inexpensive To Maintain — it is very reliable, has independant rearend which makes it handle very great. it has moderate breaking abilities and accelarates hard thanks to the only 2 valve 5.4 lite. it gets around in the mud and snow with no issues due to the very refined 4xD. gets about 15 mpg around town.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: it rides like a dream and will get out of its way in a hurry

Cons: it is a little on the large side but thats a no brainer

Comfort, Class And A Big Set Of Hairy Balls! — Awesome...but a little piggy at the pump. Room for 7 people and their luggage and you can tow a 10,000 pound trailer behind you! Comfortable highway cruiser...and just as comfortable barrelling down a logging road or crawling through mudholes.

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

Pros: Can tow a 34 footer, unlike the crappy GMC

    Cons: 14mpg

Decent For One Of The First Years With The Upgrades — we bought it for the room and the price allowed us to get out from underneath our failing Kia Sedona. Since then it as been back to the shop twice for the same computer issue...$350 later I think we're ok.

    Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: roomy, handles well for a full size SUV and the mileage is better than you would expect

Cons: lack of attention to detail in the manufacturing.

Best Suv On The Market...besides A Hummer, But Thats Even Worse On Gas. — The only thing wrong with the expo is that it only gets 11 miles to the gallon. But you pay for what get, its a great car. I've taken it off roading in a blizzard, never even came close to getting stuck.

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

Pros: It says "Get the hell out of my way!"

    Cons: Gas Guzzler

Ford Expedition — First and foremost I like the size of the vehicle. I need a large vehicle for my job and this suits perfectly. Being able to haul the whole family and all the gear is a nice bonus as well. This SUV is built on a truck frame. So it rides like a truck, which is my preference. If you want a toy SUV that rides like a car, this is not the vehicle for you...you should probably check out one of those import SUV rollerskates that passes as an SUV.

    Pros: Room, safety, toughness

    Cons: none
