Great Idea. Mediocore Execution. Poor Mileage. — I kept it for five years, so obviously, it wasn't dreadful...but it never panned out to what I had hoped for. Good basic transportation, but for the money, you could do a lot better. Tended to blow fuses for no apparent reason- easy to change however.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: 4WD is nice in snowy weather. Comfortable ride. Appearance design looked pretty good.Good interior layout. Good pick up, brakes, basics. Convenient height on rear hatch for loading/uloading

Cons: Awful sound system.  Had to replace right away. Front end has lots of plastic. Take this SUV off road at your own risk. Front quarter panel "popped off "twice. Took it to shop. They pushed it back into place and sent her out the door. That really makes one feel secure. Steering column tended to lock up periodically. Once had to call for service at home to get it moving again.

. — I like the all wheel drive. Leather seats are cold in winter. Gas mileage is fair. Seems like a lot of road noise. The right power window stops working from time to time. Overall it is a good car to drive.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: all wheel drive

Cons: nothing

Highly Recommend This Suv. — Love this car! Fun to drive, easy to handle, peppy, roomy for it's size, great all around SUV. Would highly recommend this vehicle to anyone who wants a dependable compact SUV. Good on gas, too! Love the styling, too. Cheers.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Dependable and fun to drive.

Cons: Can't think of anything that sucks about this car.

Sedan Suv — the Escape has car-like unibody construction with fully independent suspension and comes as a front- or four-wheel drive. The drivetrain choices include transversely-mounted 4-cylinder or V6 engine and 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive. ABS is optional (standard from 2006). The Escape has disk brakes in front and drums in the back (all four disk brakes are available on late V6 4WD models).

Pros: Have a great power but comfortable

Cons: need great care

My Ford Escape — Easy to drive and pretty good MPG on highway, also it very good for winter. Good power with it's V6 3.0L engine. Overall MPG combined is 20.9mpg. Easy in and out and looks great for a small SUV. I have taken this car for almost 83,000 miles and it still runs great.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Very Good!

Cons: need a bigger gas tank. perhaps a 19 gal.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: gets decent gas mileage

I Love Mine — It's a nice, practical car for all seasons. Costs more in gas than little cars, but it's worth it to have the security of a slightly larger car. It's not a huge SUV but it's enough for me and I like to drive it, it's my comfort zone.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: comfortable, reliable

Cons: cd player wears out fast
