2005 Neon Srt-4 — car is fun to drive, looks good and is reliable. car build quality is lacking as far as the materials used goes. the windows in the back are crank down. and most importantly no matter how fast it is, it is still a neon

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: fun to drive

Cons: Not much really

Even Though It's An Srt-4, It Is Still, And Will Forever Be, A Neon. — You want to go fast for cheap? This is your car. Not only is the car inexpensive, but the parts are too. I was able to make over 500hp and make a 1/4 mile pass of 11.4 in this car without touching any of the engine internals or doing any head work. This is car is a great learners car when it comes to learning how to drive a standard shift, as well as learning how to work on cars yourself.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: It is an excellent learners car.

Cons: Everything is pretty cheaply made. Very "rental car" like feel. (srt's are becoming the new honda's *yikes*)

Its Fast, Handles Well, Sounds Good, Looks Good, Comfortable, And Its Cheap — 2005 srt-4 acr 1 of 1175 ever built an 1 of 225 that are red. runs high 13's and low 14's stock, 0-60 in about 5 seconds, top speed 160 mph, 5 point adjustable suspension. 2.4 litter turbo, pushes about 230-240 bhp and 235 ft-lb, Can get arond 30 mpg (if you stay out of the boost), loud exhaust, nice deep tone. Almost no turbo lag at all.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: the top reason to drive this car is because its really fun to drive

Cons: if you cant drive stick... learn and then drive one, or if your not into stuff like that

I Would Buy Another One If This One Was Somehow Wrecked. — Awesome car, especially considering the price. Lots of fun to drive. Bought it new, was smoking Mustang GT's with 4 less cylinders right off the bat. Braking is excellent in stock form. Handling was not the best, but for a little money it is acceptable. I have done emergency lane changes without any issues. The rear end likes to kick out every now and then, as it is 1"-1.5" higher than the front. Some people don't like the loud muffler-less exhaust, but I knew of this and wanted this when I bought her. I some have rattles, some caused by myself, some unknown. Only have had to do regular maintainance. There is a squeak in the suspension ever since I loaded about 800 lbs of cargo in the back seat and trunk, so that is my fault as well. Mileage is great, I average 22-23mpg every tank. Best record was all freeway with the A/C blasting the whole trip, traveling 75ish the whole way with a couple bursts of RPM's to clean the carbons out ;) achieved 32 mpg 89k miles now, always been reliable. Mildly modded, ran a 13.8 a couple years ago

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Price, Great Econo-box Performance, American made

Cons: The stigma of being a Neon

Fast — sometimes its picky about mods just means you need another source for tuning. goes thrugh tires pretty quick and gas. great seats. nice exhaust from factory. breaks leave more to be desired. can take abuse pretty well so far haha

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: turbo

Cons: fwd only

Read This Jount — Performance is awesome. Kick you in the butt torque right out the box. Acceleration is like going hyper sonic + warp speed. Braking is decent with any 2 pistol caliper. Handling is scary if you don't know what you're doing. Engine is built like Hercules chest. Can't say the same about the interior. Squeaks and rattles the interior due to solid mounts and plastic interior. Appearance..well thats subjective, I think it looks pretty mean. Gas mileage is banggin' if you can keep you foot off the GO-Pedal, maintenance can be a pain (boost leaks) but it's fun to fix..makes you know your car inside n' out. Is the car fun to drive? Is riding a bike thru the mall naked embarrassing??

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Hauls ass

Cons: Boost leaks

Beasty — 18 lbs of boost w/ 285 hp and 300 lbs of torque.....clearly a BEAST on wheels. It was black with black rims with chrome inerts....came in 5th out of 70 SRT-4's in overall performance and appearance. The gas mileage was incredible but maintenance can be a pain in the ass if your not on top of it. but overall i love esp when the big dogs thought they had a fast car and then loose to me and be extra mad cause they realized it was a neon!

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Bang for your Buck! a little car with a lot of muscle

Cons: high performance maintence is a must

Its An Ok Car! — Its cheap speed. Build quality is on the low side.... Thanks Dodge. I got this car because i knew what it was capable of with the proper modifications. Even at the stock for the car is pretty quick and easy on gas.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Cheap Speed

Cons: Get what you pay for

I Would Own Another On In A Minute. — Probably the most fun I have ever had with a car. Spectacular performance, loud and great fun withthe stick shift!! Fuel economy was excellant and it was very inexpensive. Modifications were also very cheaop and offered huge horse power gains. Well worth the investment

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Its a pocket rocket

Cons: It is very dangerous due to understeer

It's A Good Car For A Young Driver That Wants A Little Boost. By Nina
