If You Need The Room This Car Is One To Consider — The stow n go seats are great. When you need the space, flip them down and you have the space without having to deal with the seats. A huge plus. City gas mileage is horrible. Especially when you consider that the engine doesn't have that much horsepower. Highway gas mileage matches the EPA number. The bluetooth hands free connection, uconnect, works well. The GPS system has a small screen down low, but it also works well. Handling is mediocre. Brakes are average.

Pros: stow n go seats.  DVD video system

Cons: dealer service,  gas mileage no where near epa number for city driving.

Has Been Very Reliable. — The family found this vehicle very suitable for our needs. Minimal work needed other than routine maintenance. Stock sound system very nice. The reclining second row was helpful for the long trips. When buying that larger itiem, turns into a small cargo van. Lots of convenience.

Pros: Engine is very responsive. Very comfortable ride. Plenty of space. Stow-and-go is very handy.

    Cons: mpg

Nice vehicle, good gas mileage. Had one more option like DVD for passengers. Firm handling and suspension.
Handling Ranked 2006 Chevrolet Uplander LT FWD Ext Wheelbase 2LT worse.
"I like the road feel of the Town + Country better than the Uplander."
Front Seats Ranked 2006 Chevrolet Uplander LT FWD Ext Wheelbase 2LT better.
    "They were heavier made seats."
Cargo Capacity Ranked 2006 Chevrolet Uplander LT FWD Ext Wheelbase 2LT worse.
"The Hide-away seating makes the conversion to a cargo hauler quick and easy. So access to the cargo capacity is more user friendly. Who wants to lug those big seats from the Uplander, and where will I put them?"
Value Ranked 2006 Chevrolet Uplander LT FWD Ext Wheelbase 2LT worse.
"They are a lot of van for the money, and I like the Japanese made power plant. The Chevy probably holds its resale value, a little better, but I believe that Chrysler the under-dog tries harder to please its customers."
