The Chrysler Pacifica was introduced in 2004, as the first minivan-based crossover SUV, and the first venture into the SUV market for Chrysler. Only two models (FWD and AWD) were available for 2004, but this year Chrysler has expanded the Pacifica lineup to include seven models.
Available trims include Base, Touring, Limited, and the Signature Series. The Signature Series package was applied to several 2005 Chrysler models, as commemoration of Walter P. Chrysler and the American automaker's long history and heritage.
This addition is considered an exceptional value, because many luxury and convenience items are included at no additional charge. Production, however, is quite limited. Other Signature Series models i 2005 included the 300, Sebring, PT Cruiser, and the Town & Country.
Standard equipment on this special AWD model includes Signature Series badges, two-tone taupe leather seats, a variety of special interior trimming, a six-disc CD/DVD changer, 17-inch chrome wheels, fog lamps, power adjustable pedals, power liftgate, automatic headlamps, a memory system for driver's seat, outside mirrors, radio presets and adjustable pedals and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. A navigation system is also included.
This Pacifica is powered by the 3.5 liter, 24-valve V-6, which supplies 250 horsepower and 250 pound-feet of torque. All models use a four-speed automatic transmission with Chrysler's AutoStick manual shifter. AWD models come a equipped with a viscous coupling center differential, which allows drivers to redistribute up to 90% of the power to either the front or rear wheels.
