Daily Driver — Unreal Horse Power from a 5.3L, definatly making it into my Mudder once i can find a new Daily Driver. No Repairs ever, just changing tires often cause she burns em off. But of Course, Terrible Gas Milage. With some Aftermarket Rims and Some Nice Toyo M/Ts it looks sick!!

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

Pros: Alota WHP outa a 5.3!

Cons: Gas Milage.

I Want Another In A Newer Model — quick for a truck, tows well, performs like a truck should. built pretty solid, i put mine threw a lot interior is great. exterior has clean look to it. makes 13-16 mpg highway and about the same in town. bought it used for 17K with 38K miles.

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

Pros: truck has done everything ive asked of it

Cons: no real negatives to it, i love my truck and only would get rid of it for a newer body style of the same truck.

A Big, Simple Machine For Big, Simple People Such As Myself — Plenty of grunt, excellent brakes even with rear drums, decent but wallowy handling from the factory. The 3.23 rearend means good mileage on the highway, but pokey acceleration around town, despite 335 lb/ft of torque. Torque management is heavy handed, and the 4 speed automatic sucks. Curb weight is not outrageous, but still 500 lbs heavier than my 1992 model. Despite all that, it will easily crank out mid-7 second 0-60 times and effortlessly hit the 99mph speed limiter. Aftermarket modifications can greatly enhance performance. I get about 17mpg around town and 21-22 on the highway. I've seen as high as 25mpg. Build quality is erratic, but it should hold together for a long, long time. The dash plastic is the hardest, most obnoxiously cheap material known to man. Tons of aftermarket parts available, bulletproof engine, and probably the last of the Chevy trucks recognizable as a "Chevy Truck" rather than an "Amorphous slab of sheetmetal".

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: LS engine, big front brakes, easy as hell to maintain, parts are cheap, decent highway mileage, fairly comfortable for long drives

Cons: Inconsistent assembly quality, infamous steering shaft clunk, lots of wheel hop, ancient transmission

Great All Around — 20" Silverado SS wheels make the truck look amazing. The K&N Intake adds lots of extra power. The Flowmaster turn-down exhaust sounds amazing. Handles great in all weather conditions. Great for getting my friends to where were going, with all of our gear. (ex. 4 wheelers/dirtbikes) Very comfortable interior and seating.

Pros: Intake adds lots of power, exhaust sounds great

Cons: none

Chevy 2005 Bought In 2005 With .25 Miles On It — love my truck but wish that it was a ford. It does get up and go but it isn't a v-8 which is what I want. I have never had it stuck and yes i have had it in the mud. it is a regular cab and that bugs me also.

Pros: it has an awesome a/c and it is very good on gas well that is for a truck

Cons: it is not a ford and wish it was a 4x4 and a v-8

Justin's New Beast — It's a beast...4x4 Z71 , sandstone or goldish color, and leather interior...5.3 Liter V8 engine it gets about anywhere from 13 to 15 mpg and seats 6 people pretty comfotably...Haven't tried it out in the mud yet but I'm sure it can handle anything you throw at it. It only has 60,000 miles and just over 1900 engine hours and was used as a personal truck by a man who I know took care of his truck.

Pros: AC, Z71, leather, XM radio, plenty of room in cab and bed

Cons: None
