Best Car Ever Owned — This thing is beautiful. I have made some of my own upgrades like the black grill, some interior changes, and I'm saving up for a super charger

Pros: Wonderful drive, great handling, acceleration, braking, and overall
    performance

Cons: Almost none, except for the gas

Classic — I had to have this car from the minute I test drove it, and after a couple of years, it still brings me thrills and a big smile to my face.

    Pros: Everything

Cons: Factory optinal Harmon Kardon sound system is not that great.

Amazing Car - But Not For Everyday Use... — Absolutely amazing car to drive on the track. Amazing power due to lighter weight, but very twitchy on the edge... Caution should be taken when driving a BMW M3 CSL full throttle on a track...

    Pros: Power, Handling, Go-Cart feel

Cons: Hard ride, Slippery on the edge

My Baby!!! This Car Is Hott!! — Aside from the only two negatives, driving in snow and expensive repairs, this car is amazing. It's 338hp makes it much faster than most cars out there. It accelerates instantaneously. One of the coolest features is the SMG, which allows the operate to drive the car automatically, or manually without operating the clutch. Considering the coupe bodystyle, the vehicle actually has great visibility. And, the handling is immaculate. Every crevice or pebble the car rides over, you feel. Also, the Harmon Kardon stereo and apple red leather interior is pretty nice. OK, I"ll stop going on and on about how much I love my car!

    Pros: Handling, Acceleration, Appearance

    Cons: Maintenance

Fast And Classic — I went for the 6-speed manual transmission instead of the solenoid operated thing. I've had it up to 136 mph (verified by GPS) and it still had top end to spare. Believe it or not, I've never gotten a speeding ticket in this car (but I just got one in my Grand Cherokee).

    Pros: Engine, looks, transmission.

Cons: Oil costs $8/l, rear seat room elicits complaints from my geezer friends.

Perfect Track Day Car Out Of The Box. — SMG was ahead of it's time, but not fully perfected. This is a go kart and handles like it's glued to the tarmac. Not much more you can bolt on to this car other than a turbo or supercharger kit. There's plenty of power on tap without modifications.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: This car has the engine that BMW should have put in all of the earlier M3s.

Cons: Buckle up this is a bronco!

As I expected my M3 was the one, the only, the car that transformed every desired move into reality. The best in its class.

Ive owned the BMW M3 Convertible and a 2006 Porsche 911 S2. The Porsche is a car you can drive around all day in third gear like any daily driver. When you want a race car just shift and put your foot into it and shes gone... The M3 convertible has to really be driven at speed to really be appreciated for its performance capabilities. Its great for relaxed country drive with the top down.

Power Ranked 2002 BMW M3 Convertible worse.
"The 2005 M3 Coupe has the same power as the 2002 M3 Convertible, but its about 300 lbs lighter. This different in weight makes the Coupe feel more powerful due to a better power to weight ratio."
Would Buy Ranked 2002 BMW M3 Convertible worse.
"The M3 Coupe is lighter, has a more streamlined design, offers a quieter cabin, and a much rigid chassis than its convertible counterpart. In terms of future value, the M3 Coupe has a better chance of holding its current value or appreciating than the convertible."
