Don't Buy One! — It's naff! Fast enough but bounces too much. The sport model is better. Can't wait to change it! The computer controls are plastic. The run flat tyres don't help. The fuel consumption is not the best but when it's driven like mine is that's not surprising.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: To kill yourself!

Cons: It doesn't handle at speed!

Space — performance- not the best. but for a RWD four-cylender 1.6 L engine the overall is good. build quality- it is a BMW!!!. appearance- love the hatch back. cost- it's a little bit expensive but it is worth it. fun factor- it is easy to drift on corners :).

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: huge trunck space

Cons: back seat is tiny

Buy One !! — This car is fun to drive, economic and a good looker. Build quality is not that top notch with a couple of squeaks and rattlles especailly in hot maltese sun and differences in temperatue with the AC on, its like you have an elf trapped in your dashboard !! If you dont mind that (like me) the car is a blaast to drive, does an average of 30 MPG( in Malta) and around 20 Euros of Diesel a week. 177 bhp and a quarter mile time of 16.6 seconds , LOVE THIS CAR !!

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Amazing Handling, Acceleration & Good Economy make this car a good buy and a fun car to drive.

Cons: Run Flats ?

Lovely! Sheer Driving Pleasure! Love It 2 Bits — Perfomance... 0-100 in just more than 8sec.... for a diesel.... lekker!!!! Braking is up there with the big guns... Handling...rearwheel drive on a potent hatch... what more do you want? Build quality is good. Repairs... preventative maintenance... new brake-discs, clutch kit.. Appearance... sexy!!! leather does it io the inside. Instrimentation is well laid out and user friendly Cost.... hmmmm... its a turbo diesel....push it and it becomes a "gas-guzzler", drive it sensibaly and u can get up to 5,6 L/100km. Maintenance...BMW (according to me) has the best maintensnce plan... if u let the plan run out though,it can leave a hole in your pocket..... FUN FACTOR..... fun to drive????? HELL YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: gets the adrenallin flowing as soon as u "drop" the clutch.....

Cons: maintenance cost after the maintenance-plan runs out....

My Baby Bmw — Fabulous car! Spot on perfect viewed my needs and expectations. Superb handling and build quality. Very distinct and precise reaction of steering wheel and brakes. Looks very nice, the colour quite unusual for a 1 series. Haven't seen any other. The engine could have been bigger but at least it's economical to buy, drive and maintaine. Best car I've had!

Pros: Hhandling, quality, appearance

Cons: Price

My Beemer — My car is built to last forever! Not needed anyrepairs other than service, MOT etc. I had the car built to my specifications when i bought it. It's got all the mod cons that the one series should have. I chose the interior myself, its got alaskan grey leather interior, exterior is called sidney blue. Mileage is low for my cars age, she turned 4 this year but only has 35k on the clock. She's an automatic, diesel and so much fun to drive. xx

Pros: Fun to drive

Cons: Cost of servicing!!

Bmw 118i — for a compact looking car it's interior is fairly spacious and the styling elegant. it could have more acceleration but for its class one can't complain as overall it delivers a very satisfactory driving experience. it is a value for money vehicle, getting a good level of luxury to price ratio.. i look forward to get into my car when i need to drive it somewher and would reccomend it. its a fantastic car as a bmw entry level

Pros: styling, comfort, affordibility

Cons: lack of acceleration

Sheer Drivin Pleasure — Sports car in every way. Suspension hard and tight. Awesome cornering. Exceptional build quality. Nothing went wrong. Electronics acted up 2 times in 3 years, but an engine restart fixed it. Expensive maintenance (both insurance and servicing). Fun drive on long journeys, very stable relaxing. Great looks, nice interior, lots of colors to choose from.

Pros: fast, agile, cornering, looks, gadgets, seats, quality, performance

Cons: bootspace, hard on bad roads, expensive

Bmw What To Say More — The smallest BMW - you don't have to say more. Grip is outstanding - it's like driving on tracks, 50-50 weight distibution helps alot. I have 118d, so it only has 122 HP, but gas consumption is really low only 5,2 L/100 km. Well all my future cars will be BMW. That i promise =).

Pros: everything

Cons: i didn't find any at the moment
