2004 Vw Passat Wagon — Big and with the seats down you can put anything back there, I put my mountain bike in it with the hatch close. The coil pack like all Audi/VW 1.8 turbo goes out. The gas mileage is not as good as it should be I get 26MPG highway at 75-80MPH. Pros: German engineering and ride Cons: I hate timing belts on any car and this ones got one. |

My Passat — What is wicked cool 'bout my vehicle is the option to operate the engine manually even though it is an automatic. This option gives the vehicle a performance aspect unlike a typical sedan. The 4 cylinder engine keeps my butt in check so I avoid tickets. Pros: everything Cons: nothing |

Slides a bit due to rar wheel drive. nice interior The exterior is Ok but paint takes a bit to shine could be because it is black. It is a work horse I have it because i travel 100 miles to work and back a day- Pros: Good MPG Cons: Cost of Parts |

This Car Is Really Great! — The car drives incredibly smooth, even at really high speeds. The acceleration could be better, but it's not bad, with 0-60 at 7.6 sec. It looks very nice, inside and out. The interior is great, and comfy as well. I really love to drive this car. Pros: Smooth ride, V6 engine, looks good, very solid and safe. Cons: With gas prices going up, it would be nice if it got a little better gas mileage, but it's not bad. |

Overpriced, Overcomplicated — The car has "bells and whistles" that no one uses and add to the price and complications of this year. Buyer beware, you will have to study the owners manual just to figure out how to change your clock when daylight savings time kicks in, along with other basic features. There are numerous annoyances and oddities. The car lunges forward when you turn it off. The transmission lurches forward when you slow down or stop at random times. The radio settings change at random. There is no way to get the windows to open just an inch or so, the automated opener switch is not sensitive enough. The key locks in the slot for no apparent reason. The car alarm will go off randomly for no reason. The car drives well and is comfortable for long trips. The "little things" will make you crazy
Pros:
Ride comfort
Cons:
Engine noise with four-cylinder |

Very Powerful And A Pleasure To Drive — The TDi, although has around 140 horses, is very preppy and is underestimated in acceleration. Great handling and outstanding braking. Plenty of room for passengers. Seats are mildly uncomfortable on long rides, but not terribly unbearable. Wonderful trunk space and great overall exterior and interior design. Outstanding mileage for the size and power of the vehicle. The manumatic is handy and fun to play with on long stretches. Caution: The germans tend to accent the new car smell in the volkswagen. Bring gas mask. Pros: Powerful, good interior and exterior, good technology Cons: seat maneuverability is difficult |
