After Five Years, This Car Still Makes Me Smile Every Time I Drive It. — The CLK offers a great mix of timeless, elegant design, luxury and performance. The highlight of the car is the column-less design, high quality leather and wood in the interior design, and good overall performance in terms of quick acceleration (about 6 seconds to 60 mph) and handling. Moreover, I have not have a single problem with the car since I purchased it and the only cost to-date was to replace the tires and brakes after 5 years of use. Sure there is more performance oriented cars like the BMW 335i, the BMW M3 and the Audi S5. However, the BMW 3-series simply cannot match the quality, comfort and design from the CLK. Audi can but it took them many years to catch up with the A5 / S5 and their brand equity as a driver of resale value is still unknown in the U.S.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

    Pros: Timeless, gorgeous design.

Cons: The fact that the model designation is being discontinued (the 3rd generation CLK is now called E-Class Coupe).

2004 Clk 500 - A Great Automobile, Period. — From day 1 I felt this was the car for me. It handles wonderfully in the Colorado Mountains. The 5.0 Liter V8 has plenty of power when you ask for it. Handling is precise and quick. Still looks as good as the new ones. Classic lines. An AMG pkg. would make it perfect if I had the bucks. But for the money spent, I would be hard pressed to find anythingt on the market that satifies as well.

    Pros: Handling,looks,power,build quality, and style.

Cons: I don't have an AMG, but who cares?

Mercedes-benz Clk 500 — I have driven a lot of cars, and I will say hands down it is the best car I have ever driven. I miss this car so much i dream of it at nite. Even though the 550 has replaced the 500, I would buy a 500 used because I became so connected with handling of this acheivement of German engineering.

    Pros: Everything

    Cons: Premium gas prices

2004 Mercedes Benz Clk230 — The 2004 CLK320 I own performs without any flaws. It has two settings one for comfort, the other for performance and you can tell the difference between the two. Its a more robust vehicle than the 2003 C230K I had previously. I think its styling is timeless, having generally straight lines devoid of any trendy styling gimmicks. Its a comfortable car to drive with a sporty side that you can use when needed. I would recommend this vehicle to anyone in the market for a couple from an upscale marquee.

Pros: Good handling qualities, comfortable ride.

    Cons: Low gas mileage.

Pros: good gass milage, hands the seat belt to you, very comfortable

Cons: runs on premium, shakes vibrates a bit at speeds of 100+

Performance Meets Style — Great to drive with plenty of pop when needed. I'm 6'5 and my wife is 5'6 and the seat settings accommodate both of us easily. Visibility is also very good especially considering the car's overall lower profile. Also, the trunk space is surprisingly large.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Super peaceful to drive. Performance. Visibility. Seat flexibility.

    Cons: Complicated sound/nav/communications system.

I Have Owned A Mercedes For Over 26 Years And They Are Great Cars. — This car has plenty on room and handles better then my 1972 450SL. The dash is great and the auto top makes it very easy to put up and down. I can fit 2 of my 4 grandkids in the car with us.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Great car to have with grandkids!

Cons: Must be kept in the driveway u til I sell my BMW Z 3.
