Practicality And Style Rarely Go Together. This Car Is One Of Those Occasions. — Great solid built little station wagon, my favorite body style, which happens to be on its way to total extinction. The SHOC 2.6 V6 (this should be a C260 but Mercedes only uses the number 6 in the S, CL and SL 600, don't ask me why) is lethargic in city cycle but becomes alive and well after 40 mph. The interior has held up pretty well the rigors of transporting my 100 lb and 60 lb mutts and the design still looks contemporary, although a bit on the conservative side. The MBtex seating surface look like new, I don't know why anyone bothers with leather anymore. Maintenance costs are simply outrageous. I will look for alternatives outside of Mercedes-Benz dealers. This is a great car and its a shame Mercedes didn't bring the new C class wagon to America.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: practicality, looks and its kind of exclusive. Nobody has it.

Cons: Maintenance costs

My Current Hoopty — One of the finest vehicles I have ever owned. It's better now that I have modified it. It's fun to drive but it is also fun to look at other peoples faces as I drive by. There really is a mystic with the badge.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Looks great drives great

Cons: High cost of repair

Our Merc — We got this Merc during May 2008. The acceleration is very "solid", nothing too fun but really solid. The comfort is really good, even though leg room and head room are both lacking, the main reason is that the ride is just simply sweet. This used to be a test-drive car for the dealership, and they told me that they slightly tuned the suspension so that it was smoother through ditches and speedbumps. No wonder. haha

Pros: Smooth ride, solid acceleration between 80km.h-120, 140-180, easy to park, quiet inside even when speeding XD

Cons: lag at 40 (most important speed in shanghai), smallness of the interior, not sporty enough

A Step Up From My Lincoln? Maybe. — After driving 2 Lincoln Continentals for a number of years finding a car to drive while I rebuilt a transmision, wasn't something I looked forward to.But when I first saw my Mercedes I knew my search was over. This car is beautiful to look at,comfortable, loaded with toys, gets decent mileage and goes like hell.FUN? you betcha!!!It's more of a sports car ride than my Lincoln but not overly harsh.I have been very impressed by the build quality, performance, and handling.Try pushing the HAPPY pedal on one of these things,it WILL impress you.

Pros: Performance, handling, styling, and a serious WOW factor,People have said I moved up from the Lincoln

Cons: Another luxury car and more rediculously priced parts.Low beam HID light bulbs $300 a pair.

Fast & Smooth — I love this car! Where do I start? It is a small car compared to my size (I'm 6' 4). Nonetheless I love the drive. Its so smooth on the road and the acceleration is immense. 0-60mph under 4sec. Now that is a dream! Fast, smooth .. What else can I say? Its a Mercedes. Don't take my word for it, test drive the new C-Class 2008.

Pros: Love the drive

Cons: Put a tall person in the drivers seat, and you only have room for 2 others.

C200k Estate — The super charged C200 Estate has amazing performance, is quiet, and confortable to drive. The open highway milage is excellent (under 7 ltrs/100km), but the city driving can be arounf 10 ltrs/100km. The Estate is German built with excellent quality (unlike the sedans which are built in South Africa).

Pros: Large luggage area, excellent build quality, great looks, excellent breaking and cornering

Cons: No lumber support on the drivers seat.
