Fun Fun Fun! — All in all I love this car! I wish that I had learned all the tips and tricks before I started driving it tho. Too many times in the garage for repairs! The acceleration from a stop is the only thing I do not like about this little gem, but once it gets going... NICE! Braking and handling really nice, responds well. Really a fun car to drive and own once you learn the ropes!

Pros: Great looking car!  Love the lines! Love the back doors!   Comfortable and fun to drive!

Cons: First thing I did not like was the fact that there are HUGE blind spots!  But, after getting a few close calls... you learn about them and all is well!
Gas mileage is not all that bad for a fun car!   I was not aware of all the maintenance, so I have had to have this car in 4 times this year, and the cost is a bit high, but also to be expected when you own a sporty little car like this.

A Great, Powerful And Fun To Drive Car — What I liked about this car since the day they appeared on the market was its looks. Once I drove tested and not only felt how powerful it was but how well it handles sharp curves I knew I wanted to have it. Fuel efficiency its not its best feature, but it comes with all sport cars. The bucket seats makes you feel you are a pro racer as well as having the shifting control on the steering wheel besides audio and cruise controls. Suicide doors are always something people like about this car, its different. Not a family car definitely, which is the main reason I am looking to let my RX-8 go.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: lots of power for the price. Great design which its an instant plus, lots of turn of heads on the road and great guys' conversation

Cons: low fuel efficiency and oil consumption due to the rotary engine

I Love This Car And Wish I Didnt Have To Sell It For College. — My favorite part of my RX 8 is definitely the acceleration and the ability to hug the curve tight! I also love the body design with the smooth silver paint job. The appearance of the red and black interior with the black rims is what initiallly sold me on this RX 8. I also love that it has a brand new engine! Let me tell you, this car has no problems getting to the high RPM's. The only downfall to the RX 8 is the small gas tank. It holds about 14 gallons and i am used to a 20 gallon tank.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Great handling and great fun!

Cons: If you dont like people turning their heads to look at you then avoid this car!

An Engineering Masterpiece! — I adore the styling of the car first off, from the sleek exterior, to the beautiful and comfortable interior. The handling is tight and smooth, and the power is breath-taking. The whir of the engine makes your heart race, and how easily it flies down the road leaves you stunned. All around an amazing car.

Pros: Everything. I love the rotary engine... It is a true marvel

Cons: Gas mileage. So far I'm only getting... about 19 miles to the gallon.

Rotary Baby — Performance - Not the fastest car in the world but shouldn't be underestimated Build Quality - no repairs except for the usual maintenance (It literally eats oil) Appearance - Love the body style. Sometimes I just stare at it for hours. Cost of Ownership - premium only no mid-grade or unleaded gas. Need to have a bottle of oil stashed in your trunk always. Fun Factor - For me, 10/10

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Very fun to drive.

Cons: 14mpg

Rx-8 — Theres not really much to say about it. Its a 2004 Mazda RX-8.I absolutely love the car all over. I use it just for work and casual driving. The only downfall to it is gas millage which isnt too horrible all the time but it does guzzle gas if you drive it like i do. It also wont move and inch in the snow for me.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Pretty much everything

Cons: Gas millage

I Absolutely Love This Car. The Rotary Engine Is An Amazing Piece Of Machinery If Treated Right. — PROS: This is a fast and extremely well handling car, it grips the road almost like a 240sx. 250 BHP and Revs to 9k RPM!!!Sexy and sporty at the same time. All the power of a coupe sports car but has the luxury of a sedan. 4 doors make it easy to fit more than 2 people in the car without having to move the seat. Heated seats are definitely a plus. Bose sound system has just enough bass not to blow your ear drums and the stereo goes to 34 (pretty damn loud) without sacrificing music quality. CONS: If you don't know anything about the rotary engine I'd suggest learning. you have to add non-synthetic oil every once and a while because oil is injected into the engine along with fuel to keep the apex seals lubricated. Gas mileage is not what you would expect it to be for such a small car with a 1.3L engine. Rotary's run rich and you have to use 91+ octane or your Check Engine Light will come up with multiple codes.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: fast and fun to drive. amazing handling. great overall feel.

Cons: gas mileage. if you don't know anything about the rotary engine I'd suggest learning. you have to add non-synthetic oil every once and a while because oil is injected into the engine along with fuel to keep the apex seals lubricated.

This Really Is A Niche Car, Either You Love It Or Hate It. High-performance Luxury Car. — I think Car And Driver described it best in their latest article on the Rx-8. They describe it as "The Affordable Exotic." Featuring tight handling, a luxury interior and an exotic motor, the car definitely lives up to that title. This is the most fun car I've ever driven, period. I would suggest it to anybody who cares a great deal about their vehicle and wants a unique car that really stands out.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Nimble, fun to drive, rotary engine, four door, luxury car, incredibly easy to work on.

Cons: Exotic car means expensive parts and repairs, poor gas mileage.

Fun Not Practical — its fun to drive but very impractical and not as fast as it should be. and it is very expensive. kinda noisy on the road. engine revs really high when you're over 80 making gas milage even worse lol. its really fun to drive. especially in the snow.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: grip

Cons: mpg
