Excellent Commuter — I needed to switch to an automatic, but didn't want to give up the performance and control of a manual. The shifter on the Mazda3 gives me what I want. The fuel economy isn't as good as other cars this size, but frankly, part of my car budget is also my entertainment budget. Nuff said.

Pros: Excellent handling.  Good performance.  Low maintenance costs.  Reasonable fuel economy (~26mpg with a lot of congested traffic).

Cons: Outside mirrors fog over quickly.  Stiff suspension is noticeable after riding in someone else's luxowagon.

Fun Litte Car. — It was my mothers car. I drove it to school alot when she wasnt working. Very reliable. Great stero for a stock car. Allthought if you were over 6 foot tall, the back seat wasnt the best only because your head would be touching the roof.

Pros: Great handling and acceleration. 5 speed made it alot of fun. Great fuel economy.looked good for a japanese ford.

Cons: Lack of trunk space. Tourque steer was bad at hard accelerations.

It Might Not Be My Dream Car, But It's The Next Best Thing!!! — Small sporty car that has met all my expectations so far.

Pros: Exterior look; handling and acceleration; leather interior; in-dash cd changer

Cons: limited cargo space

Zoom Zoom — the mazda has been an excellent car...because it's a sporty car though it handles poorly in the snow and ice, hence a bad combo with minnesota weather. however, when the roadways are clear it is super fun to drive

Pros: it's sporty feel

Cons: poor performace in snow/ice

My Last Car. — It combined all the things I wanted in a vehicle. Space to carry "stuff" as well as enough room to carry my wife and son comfortably. Of course, it drove like a sports car. In my younger days, I would have been very dangerous in this car.

Pros: Good looking, sleek and never complained or whined.

Cons: None but it wasn't free.

A Very Stylish And Fun Car To Drive ! — This car has a 2.3 L 4 cylinder that kicks butt! I owned a toyota celica before this that had about 30 more horse power and this still accelerates better. I always thought those Zoom-Zoom-Zoom comercials were full of it until i drove this car. It isnt a bit less than they described and i love to hear it Zoom. The interior of this car is classy... I like most is that the intrument panels light up red which matches the theme of my car.. red on black. The cloth seets also have red in them as well tieing it together nicely. The intregrity is good on this vehicle except i notice with the driver window is down it sometimes rattles but that can be fixed by tightening the track. Overall i am loving this car. If i was to buy another one i would go all out. I would have leather seats, a sunroof, a factory navagation system, traction control, and a spoiler.

Pros: acceleration, breaking, handling, interior design

Cons: gas millage

Sporty And Refined. — The MAZDA3 is sporty, attractive, fast and flawed. Bought a Mazda3 to have a long term compact car that was more attractive than a Civic. Being lured by its design and the famous "Zoom Zoom" anthem we searched all over the region for the perfect one. Had the car about 6 months when we started to experience stalling and a dead engine. At every stop the car would drastically drop RPM's and then stall and cut off. After taking it into the Mazda dealer 2-3 times the tech claimed they could not recreate the problem and therefore had nothing to fix. We owned it about 9 months and got rid of it. After researching the car for hours on the internet I found many stories of the same problem. Every owner experienced the same problem at the dealerships and all owners ended up getting rid of them. I would like to have one even today but I just wish they'd work, darn it.

Pros: looks good, on the outside.

Cons: rough idle and engine death.

Loved It, Until... — Loved this car like a child until the transmission died - at 55,000 miles. Warranty expired at 50,000 miles - Mazda's reply: tough.

Pros: Great looks, great performance, plenty of room, comfortable

Cons: Transmission died at 55,000 miles, and Mazda said too bad.

Great For Comfort, Style, Price, And Reliability — Comes stock with a 2.3l 4cyl engine with 163 hp and 158lb/ft. Mazda never fails to release very nice cars that are fun to drive without a huge price tag. The interior of these come stock with cloth bucket seats. A 6cd changer. 6speaker system (w/ option to upgrade to a Bose). Keyless lock, pl, pw, CC and audion controls on the stearing wheel. Anti-theft alarm and protection. Drive well although not the quietest I've ever had it is still a sharp car.

Pros: Comfortable interior, gas milage

Cons: No stock suspension upgrades.
