Normal And Boring Car — the car is realiable but has a really big lack of power in acceleration and it doesn't even make up at being economical but at least its cheap to buy and to repair, just a daily normal car to drive nothing exciting.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: reliable

Cons: not fun to drive, not powerful enough, not economical,

The 2001-2006 Elantra Were Good Enough, The Newest Model Is Way Better — The 2001-2006 Elantra sedans are relatively inexpensive, they provided good value for the money in the small family car market. Build quality was above average but not quite to the world class levels that Hyundai has reached with its latest lineup. Performance was alright, the car really does everything fine, but not brilliant at any point.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Inexpensive small family sedan

Cons: Avoid it if you want to avoid  vehicular mediocrity.

Value! — The Elantra hatch was a carbon copy of the old Saab 900/93 5 door (see my previous review). Since this car replaced the Saab, I have found many areas of comparison. The Elantra is similar in looks, build quality, driveability, and the Koreans even attempted to replicate Saab's excellent dash. The value for the dollar is unbelievable. This is a fully- loaded car with an excellent warranty that listed for $15,900. As with the Saab, the hatch is cavernous. The car is comfortable for long trips, and gets very good mileage on the highway. I highly recommend Traction Control on this car. The 5-speed mated to the 2 litre, 16 valve motor produces wheelspin with the slightest amount of moisture on the road. Suspension could be taughter, too. The car rolls a bit in curvy conditions. Still, with the list of standard features as long as it is, you'll feel like you're riding in a car that cost twice as much. I'm willing to overlook what few shortcomings the car has. A shame that the current Elantra lineup no longer includes a hatch.

Pros: volume, standard features, appearance

Cons: some cheap materials, must have Traction Control

My Car — My car is well built. Doesnt use lots of gas. Hasnt had any big problems. Timeless design. Strong engine lots of power. Wide powerband that isnt to high end. Excellent handling. Comfortable seats on a long drive.Powerful headlights for night driving. Excellent low end torque if kept in the powerband. Great handling if you use performance tires. Forgiving suspension for quick manuevaring that make the roads much safer.

Pros: Performance, Style

Cons: Could use more legroom in the back,

Very Good Economy Car! — The car has average performance thought it was not built for speed. It handles very well and has good brakes. While Korean cars had gotten bad raps in the past, they have come a long way as this car is very well built. It has a reasonable interior that is comfortable with a nice flow and the exterior is kind of sleek as well. It has been easy to maintain with no problems yet to report. It gets very good gas mileage both in the city and on the highway, ~25/30, and is enjoyable to drive. I got it due to the rising gas prices and my explorer wasn't going to cut in Seattle and I don't have any regrets about buying it.

Pros: Good gas mileage, comfortable, nice look to it

Cons: Not as powerful as I would like

Hyundai Elantra — Omgg..I hate reviews..anyway ..It's a great car 29+plus mileage in the city. Good performance. 140hp. Large gas tank in comparison to other vehicles- 14.5gallons. A lot of room. If first owner 10yr 100k mile warranty. If 2nd owner 5yr 60K mile warranty. Very popular with mod sites.

Pros: Great gas mileage, durable, great warranty

Cons: Not the fastest

Hyundai Elantra Rocks! — Great little car with tons of room inside. The hatchback design allows me to fold the rear seats into the floor and get all my telescope gear into the back with no fuss. The leather interior is comfortable and quiet. The ergonomics are well thought out, and the ride is relatively tight and rattle free. The 2.0L petrol engine is a bit underpowered, but performance is decent. Handling is nicely neutral until 8/10ths, at which point understeer comes into play. It does have a tendancy for throttle-off snap oversteer - so be careful! The four wheel disc brakes with ABS are fabulous. I did some hypermiling with the car and got approx 45mpg over a 160 mile trip, which is fantastic! Bottom line: it's a roomy, fuel efficient car that is well built and has enough fun in it to be interesting. For the price ($19,500 in 2004) you can't beat the value.

Pros: Tons of room, good on gas, excellent ride, fantastic brakes, tremendous value

Cons: Underpowered 2.0L engine, some handling quirks

Not The Best Car Ever — I like it because its fast. It saves gas. I am not crazy over it. But its good for my first car. My dad gave it to me on my Birthday. But I dont like the interior. Its too cheap. They have bad paint jobs on the cars. I got too many scratches on it.

Pros: Acceleration, Gas Milage,

Cons: Interior, Bad paint job.

The Red Rider — This car is a nice practical car but if you get it in the manual transmission version it makes it fun as well and though it is never going to pick up like a sports car it will pick up better then an automatic transmission. it is fun and comfortable to drive and with plenty of space under the hood it is pretty easy to fix more things yourself or add modifications.
