Great Resale Value, Reliable, Room For All My Kids, And Busts Through The Snow Great! — It has enough power to haul around a whole car load, it never needs repairs, and can beat a Northeast Ohio winter. At first it was hard going from Volkswagens to a Honda, but I love love love my Pilot!

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: 4wd, lots of snow, enough said :)

Cons: If you're looking for the most exciting vehicle, this might not be it for you

Caveat Emptor — This car is a great family car, however it can have issues. I have had to do repairs on my 2004 Pilot so often that it has not been worth owning the car. It has 73K miles and already the dealer is telling me it needs a new transmission. What a lemon!

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: It is roomy and seats 8 comfortably.

Cons: It has a blind spot where you can't see pedestrians crossing the street.

Love My Pilot! — What I love: Smooth driving, easy handling, car-like ride, Honda reliability, good looks, great A/C, love the heated seats, great options for rear seats, third row seats or cargo area, decent gas mileage, few blind spots for an SUV, great Sandstone dark gold color.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: It's a Honda!

Cons: Rear window doesn't open separately from rear liftgate.

Best Midsized Suv For The Price — Great family car. Lots of room to put a bunch of people in. Haven't had any problems with it so far, and it has 70000 miles on it. Powerful V6 3.5L VTEC engine makes it a quick SUV. Doesnt look big on the outside, massive on the inside. Good quality leather. Fun to drag race against other SUVs in its class, cuz it usually wins. decent gas mileage, especially on the highway. Accelerates from 0-60 in 8.1 seconds. Braking is ideal. Makes a nice ignition sound.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Interior Space

Cons: None

Honda — Same as all of the other Pilot except the EX-L RES in 2004 lacked a 6 CD changer. Traded after 11 months for a 2005 with more power a sunroof(sunroof did not come on DVD models in 04), better sound system.

Pros: honda quality(not like ford quality)

Cons: none

Typical Honda — This is the first car I've ever owned that needed new motor mounts after only 70,000 miles. The fromt mount is liquid and appears to be a poor design - unusual for Honda! This is my only complaint. Honda builds great cars.

Pros: Great driveability

Cons: Parts expensive

Honda 2004 Pilot — Absolutely a great car, but gas mileage is not what I hoped for, about 18/19 miles per gallon. The car is easy to drive, turns on a dime. Has 135,000 miles and very little maintenance. Is comfortable for the driver on long trips, but back seats don't recline. Would change that option if possible.

Pros: Great to drive and handles beautifully

Cons: Gas mileage 18-19 miles per gallon

Decent Mid-size Suv — Overall a great vehicle with excellent MPG for its size, but it lately developed a problem with the PCM and nothing changed when we got the PCM replaced. Interior and exterior are great, easy to drive and handles like a much smaller/more agile car. Gas mileage is about 20 city/22 highway.

Pros: Good gas mileage, plenty of space

Cons: Bad electrical system?

Dependable, Smooth, Quick (for An Suv), And Great! —

So, I drive a 2004 Honda Pilot EX. This car is simply great. It has a 3.5L VTEC V6 engine that produces 242 horespower and 240 lb.-ft. torque. For an SUV, the Pilot is quick. It will do 0-60, and to qoute Car & Driver, "well under 8 seconds," in the low 7s. It handles extremely well, also, for an SUV. It has very accurate steering and has that smart all-wheel-drive system that has the car all-wheel drive during acceleration and cruising, then while breaking, it switches to front-wheel drive. It has four break disks, one for each wheel, so the breaking is very good. There is botton that puts the car in "super" 4x4 mode, when really stuck in mud or something, or scaling a really steap slope, but be carefull with it, Honda very strongly recommends not to go over 20 mph in that mode. A very smooth ride with LOTS of room inside. It has a fold-away third row seats, so it holds up to 8 people if needed. The dashboard and counsel are very nice, there is the SAT/NAV option (i didn't get it, though), it has dual front seat warmers, seperate climate controls for the front seats and back seats, DVD entertainment system in the back that is optional as well (i do have that), 6-disc changer option (don't have that), and a bunch of other bottons that do various things as well. It is a very comfy ride, great for long long trips, and for short trips as well, from nice, comfortable, leather seats (optional) to the great DVD entertainment system (optional), to the 3.5L VTEC V6 and the smart all-wheel-drive system, it is a FUN car. Also, it gets pretty good gas milage, roughly 26 mpg on the highway and roughly 22 in the city. I highly recommend the Pilot.

Pros: Pretty much everything.

Cons: Nothing really.
