A Great Car! — I purchased my element to replace my 89 jeep cherokee. This car has been a perfect fit for our family. it is so versatile and roomy. I have had it all 10 years and will keep it till the wheels fall off!

    Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Very unique and extremely innovative. Roomy, fun

Cons: Avg gas mileage around 21 MPG

Awesome — I like everything about this car. Many wonderful memories. It handles fantastic in the snow. Drives like a jeep but more fun. I can't believe everything I have hauled. Kitchen cabinets, counter tops, treadmills etc. The tent that hooks onto the rear is terrific and I love the fog lights.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Turns sharp. Holds the road like a dream.  Totally dependable.  So fun to travel and camp with.  Hauls most everything.

Cons: Not the best gas mileage

This Is My Second Element! — The styling on the Element is definitely a love it/hate it type of look, but fortunately for Honda, I love it! As with other Hondas it's super reliable and easy on the wallet when it comes to fuel economy. It's a roomy, multi-configurable car that I would recommend over and over.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Fantastically utilitarian. I've never seen a more versatile car. The seats flip in all sorts of ways to accomodate cargo, on top of being water proof. I fit a 10' surfboard INSIDE the car with all the windows/doors closed. The rubber/plastic floors are also a huge plus... easy for cleaning and keeping clean.

Cons: Unfortunately there are only four seats due to the configuration so it's hard for large families, but good for smaller ones. With the four-cylinder it's a bit under powered when you have passengers and/or cargo, but is rather zippy with just the driver.

    Junk —

I was diagnosed with a catastrophic disability. So I wanted a car that was considered the most “Reliable.” I was driving a sports car that I purchased brand new, 15 years ago. The car was a Chevrolet and after 15 years and 120,000 miles the car never had any problems. I decided that I require a SUV type vehicle to meet the need of my disability. Everyone told me that Honda was the most reliable, durable and long lasting. Well, this was not the truth. My New Honda element experienced severe problems beginning on the drive home from the dealership. The Honda was driven lightly, never abused and never went more than 35 miles from home mostly because it was not reliable. The engine mount broke, the axles broke, the brake rotors rusted to pieces in months, the tires needed replacement after 15,000 miles, the lug nuts would fall off. And the list of problems goes on for two pages. Honda was willing to fix all of the problems, provided I pay for everything. The cost of the repairs is now as much as the cost of the entire vehicle. When I communicated these problems to Honda they were unwilling to accept any responsibility. Honda stated that they could find nothing wrong with the car; however Honda was always willing to repair the car at my expense, and then tell me nothing is wrong. This is the worst car I ever owned and I have owned dozens of cars. The car is not reliable. The car is not durable; parts literally fall off on their own accord. (Could not resist) This car will not be drivable for much longer even thought the total mileage is 60,000 miles. Worst of all the dealerships refused to take responsibly for their own poor service and for their own new vehicle. Honda the corporation ignored the problem until the vehicle was many years out of warranty. Honda, the car, the company, and the name, are all worthless. merriam-webster.com Entry Word: worthless Function: adjective Meaning: having no usefulness Synonyms chaffy, empty, no-good, junky, null, valueless Related Words base, cheap, inferior, lousy, low-grade, second-rate; bad, defective, flawed, imperfect, substandard, unsatisfactory; deficient, inadequate, insufficient, unacceptable Honda

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

    Pros: none

Cons: Bad car, company, and name

I Like It, It Does Everything I Need It To Do. — Very roomy, amazing what you can fit inside of it Makes a great car to camp out in..comfy seats The drivers seat neoprene is peeling at 45k miles :( good gas mileage awd is great on slick roads. For a EX Honda..seems kinda sparse on options, I want heated seats!

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: You want good gas mileage lots of stoarge and light duty dirt road ability

Cons: it looks like a toaster, limited ground clearance
