One Of The Best Performance Cars For The Money. — You would think that because it's a Ford, it's an unreliable vehicle but this one has been very reliable. Routine maintenance is all I've done to it. Out of the box performance is very good, but it could be better, and that's why there is a huge aftermarket available for these cars. I get compliments on it all the time and I love every bit of it. Pros: the acceleration and exhaust tone Cons: mediocre handling and braking abilities ![]() Looking for a Used Mustang in your area?CarGurus has 16,036 nationwide Mustang listings starting at $2,500. |

Smooth Ride--feel Like A Kid Again! — After years of small 4 cylinder automatics, I feel like I'm in a real car again. The 4.6 V8 5-speed easily passes the little cars and minivans on the interstste. It is a smooth ride and very comfortable to drive. At 55 years, I feel as free as I did at 17 in my '69 Mach 1. Better late than never! Owner for 2 years, 3 months Miles Driven per Year:9,000 Pros: 5-speed, 4.6 V8, smooth, quick, affordable. Cons: Mileage compared to the slow 4 bangers I've driven like forever. |

Mustang — Cool car, not very fast, sounds great. Fairly outdated 11 years later. Exhaust hangs very low on the car and hit most anything. eats up alternators like they were jelly beans. best part about it is the noise it makes. Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: Sounds awesome Cons: Quality is sub par |

2004 Ford Mustang — I liked the car it was easy to handle and learn how to drive in. Very easy to park into to small spaces. Didn't handle in snow very well. The convertible top was nice in the summer.Really enjoyed owning the car overall. Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: Convertible Cons: bad in snow |

Very Good Bang For Your Buck! — The interior could be a little quieter, especially at highway speeds and with strong acceleration. Not as powerful as the Cobra. If you crave the most hp & plan to go 11's as fast (and as cheap over purchase price) as possible, get an '03/'04 Cobra. If you want a lighter-feeling, easier to drive car that will go 12's without modding it to death, then get a Mach 1. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) Pros: Ford put retro touches all around, including the famous shaker hood. It is a serious blast from the past! Cons: The only real downside to the engine that it cant take as much boost as a 03-04 cobra 4.6 dohc |

Awesome Car!!!!!!!! — I like pretty much everything about it. The only thing I dislike is gas mileage but what do you expect from a performance car. Looks nice and has the get up and go when you need it or want it. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) Pros: Looks and performance Cons: Sits in garage for 5 months out of the year. |

A Fun, Fast, Spirited Sports Car For The Beginner Mustang Fan. — The exterior is clean. No cladding, no moldings, just clean styles and curves. The interior is a bit cramped in the back, definitely defining this as a 2+2 coupe. Handling is very spirited, with only the open differential taking away from it. 0-60 is quick, being 8 seconds flat. It feels faster than it is. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) Pros: Color, performance all around, stereo sound. Cons: Open differential, no foglights, no ABS, no traction control, transmission noise and feel. |

Fun car, fast but dangerous handling. Not a car to let a kid drive. Burn outs and fishtails can get risky since chassis is not up to the power. vs2004 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class SL 500
