Black Beauty — Black Beauty! My supercharged 40th anniversary mustang GT. It has BBK c/a intake, BBK o/r x-pipe, Bola Stinger exhaust, P1SC procharger and supporting mods, 3.73 gears, dsl, fuel rails, acccufab 75mm throttle body, etc. She is beautiful on the outside, and is getting a newer hood, body kit, and transmission swap. She runs about 18mpg around town and 20 on the highway.

Pros: Beautiful, fast car that is pretty much all motor!

Cons: There is nothing negative to say about it.

In A Nut Shell — Plenty of power and performance straight from the factory. The 32 4.6L V8 leaves more than enough room for upgrades and perfromance. Only downside is it guzzles down premium fuel like there is no tomorrow. Overall it is an amazing car that any kid my age would love to own. Very fast and very powerful.

Pros: Plenty of power and performance straight from factory. Plenty of room for upgrades.

Cons: Sucks down premium fuel like no tomorrow

Pinto To A Ferrari — One phrase comes to mind when "mounting" my pony for a good gallop: "Feel the power within." 4.6 litres of modern power with a touch of retro late 60's, early 70's styling (shaker hood, comfort weave seats, retro gauge panel) will propel your ass a quarter of a mile in 12.9 seconds (with a good driver in stock form). Previously, I had owned a 1997 GT. Upgrading from a 97' GT to an 04' Mach 1 is likened to moving from a Pinto to a Ferrari. Specifications (stock): -Engine: MOD Aluminum 4.6L, 32V, DOHC 281 cu. in V8 -Transmission: Tremec 3650 5 speed manual -Goodies: Brembo brakes and Tokico shocks -Fuel Mileage: 26 highway, 17 city

Pros: Everything

Cons: Nothing

Mach 1 — Very fast car and a lot of fun. The 99-04 mustangs are the best looking in my opinion. Much of the interior feels cheap. The sound of the doors closing drives me crazy and there are gaps in the panels but the styling is nice. With gas prices still going up this probably isn't the best daily driver, but It really is a pleasure to drive.

Pros: Speed, Fun, Style

Cons: Fuel economy, cheap interior

Looks Sharp, Feels Fast, Fairly Cheap And Practical. — A good compromise car. Big enough to carry four for a short trip, cheap enough to use as a daily driver, "sporty" enough to take to the weekend autocross. Considering either a lighter sportscar (S2000) or a cheaper, more practical daily driver (hatchback/wagon, eg fit or matrix/vibe). Maybe a sporty compact (cobalt ss turbo, rsx-s, etc).

Pros: Cheap to operate, even with high gas prices (22 mpg 70% city, 30 mpg highway). No mechanical issues so far (~40k miles). Love the "Edge" styling, even if it's more than a little flashy. Rear wheel drive is ftw.

Cons: Too heavy for the power. The better 4.6L V8 is too thirsty. Handling and weight distribution are "suboptimal". 5 speed manual has a long throw.

The 1999-2004 mustangs still ride on a modified Fox platform, which came from the late 70's. It feels like it, too.

Very Fun To Drive! — Take of the top in the summer and the heads turn...Very sleek lines. I took the trim off mine and I think that it makes the car more presentable!

Pros: Cute - Fun, convertable!

Cons: Definitely not a "luxury car".  We did take it to Tahoe, comfy, but could be more comfy.

That "guy" Car — This vehicle, with the correct driver behind the wheel. Will do anything, go anywhere, and be anything you want it to be.

Pros: The Handling

Cons: It doesn't have the punch some muscle cars do, with only 260hp
