Old Police Car — It's a former police cruiser, so it has it's flaws of course, and it squeaks and creaks a lot, but it's still a tank on wheels and pretty damned fast too. It's fun in the left lane on the turnpike when paranoid drivers move out of the way for me to get somewhere fast :) It also has tons of room inside, and a trunk that could hold an entire circus tour.

Pros: Doesn't suck gas if you drive it normally, tough as a tank :)

Cons: Big, sucks gas if u have a lead foot like I do :)

P71 Crown Victoria — First of all, let me dispel a myth, there are few things that will outrun these! It is the most well built, most comfortable car I have ever owned. In fact, this is my second one! I'll never buy a different car again! And, it's not bad on gas either!

Pros: ROOMY! Rides better than a Caddy, hugs the road, reliable, SAFE (I was rear ended by a semi in one and still drove it home), and FAST!!!

Cons: None.

My Beautiful, Awesome Crown Vic. — I love my Vic! It gets so many different reactions, and it's fast, slick, and just because it's four-door doesn't mean it's slow. It'll clean your clock. It's exteremly fun to drive and handles great! It corners like no other car I've driven. Plus with the new exhaust it sounds great!

Pros: What's not? LoL.

Cons: Absolutly nothing!

Suprisingly Quick Luxobarge — Quick off the line, handling leaves a bit to be desired, but the car is over 2 tons, so give it a break.

Pros: Roomy
Large V8
Premium wheels

Cons: Guzzles gas

Greatest Middle Class Family Car Ever Made. —

Reliability, comfort, quality and performance are second to none as far as 4 door sedans go. I will say that I've had to replace the passenger power window switch @ less than 45k and that surprised me and now the same window is acting up again from the drivers side switch and that ticked me off a bit and the adjustable pedals can hang up a little but, again it seems to be a faulty switch but, I rarely use them. The other problem is the traction control on our wavy, winding roads here in Arizona. The sensor will activate and kill the power to the accelerator so, I just shut it off when traveling on certain roads but, those are options I wouldn't have never ordered had I bought it brand new. My 1998 Vic didn't have any of those problems but didn't have the for mentioned options. Both Crown Victoria's I've owned did come special ordered with full dual exhaust with an "H" pipe and have noticeable acceleration and performance enhancements. All in all I love this car and I wouldn't know how to replace it if something happened to it. I bought it with 38k for $7500.00 Cash because the guys selling it inherited it when his Mom passed away and he didn't want the car and everyday I feel like I stole it from him but, that was his asking price.... It's like a brand new car (it just passed 45k miles and it's a complete joy to drive) and the price was just unbeatable!!!!

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Reliability, comfort, quality and performance are second to none as far as 4 door Family sedans go and it won't nickel and dime you to death trying to keep it on the road but overall this car is a joy to drive.

Cons: This year I had to replace the climate control resistor for about $50.00. It's located adjacent to and just right of the heater core and that was a tight fit but, the A/C was blowing cold as ice in about an hour. Other then that, they don't make these cars anymore and it's a shame.

Would Buy Ranked 2002 Mercury Grand Marquis GS better.
"Loved the Crown Vic Interceptor, but the Grand Marquis just feels like it’s floating down the road. Not as fast or powerful as the Interceptor, but still has plenty of get up & go. "

The price was a major factor....I paid $2400. It had 88,000 on it when I bought it two years ago. I actually prefer the killer looks of the P-71s, it is a good sleeper. The Marauder is very nice though.... I owned several Hondas, they are bullit-proof and are decently quick, but pricey
