Through The Years They Should Have Made It A Hybrid Or Something To Save Stopping At The Pump So Oft — The brakes are very noisy even after numerous repairs from dealership and other shops. It would be better for short trips not a long daily commute. It would be fun to drive if the brakes were quiet, it is embrassing to drive up and everybody stops what they are doing to look at me, not because I am beautiful but to see where the noise is coming from.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: The best feature about this car is entering and exiting.

Cons: Gas mileage is terrible .

I Like The Turbo'd Ones In Red! Great Car For Daily Use And Plenty Of Hauling Space For A Small Car. —

Bought my Red 04 GT PT in 09. Had 60K, it now has 95K and runs like a, well, you know. Had an ignition module go bad on it (easy fix)and replaced tires. Other than that the only problem I have is the rear seat release to fold the seat forward will not function. Seems to be jammed somehow, but I cannot find it. Little car has got 19-20 city, and 22-25 highway. I tried using Xylene as an additive for a while, and got about 2 mpg better, but it is a hassle to mix and pour in each fill up. Could simplify the proceedure but not motivated enough yet. With gas prices going thru the roof, I may get really motivated soon! I had a PT w/o turbo and this is the little beast I saw when I looked at them. The GT turbo is a little monster! I had a youngster want to race me in my PT and his mustang. I puched it at the light, and left him in the dust. He later asked me what I had done to make it so fast. I told him it was (and is) stock. I say, if you like the look, then buy the turbo version, I doubt you'll be unhappy. The ride is nice, rear seats a little uncomfortable for heavy adults I am told. As the car weights 3000 lbs, mileage won't be great, but the solid feel and ride is the best I have felt in a sporty machine.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Ride, performance, appearence, design, handling

Cons: MPG low, turbo cornering is tricky! Horn sucks!

Can Accellerate Quick And Do Corners — The PT Cruiser's Quality is quite good it good on performance it can accelerate quick and turn corners like nothing, it's cost was about $15,000. It is a fun car to drive I'd give it a 7 out of 10 for fun! Decent car!

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: The Handling

Cons: Outer Exterior isn't for Everyone.

Best Little Retro Sports Wagon For The Buck — We bought our GT in Oct. 2004 and have oved it ever since. GT with Turbo. Quick, responsive, excellent ride withnGT suspension, Tu-tone Paint Leather,Moon roof, every option available. We havn't been able to find something to replace it with. 19 mpg es.around town and able to get on the Texas interstates and move thru traffic with ease No rattles anywhere in the car and no major problems in 50,000 miles. We tow it behind our motoerhome and it gets all the looks itvdeserv

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Turbo, gets us out there when you want to go

Cons: They are not offering it any longer,  we'd buy one today

Just A Great Replacement For Our Dialy Needs — Great Car..Love the styling and the appearance. Interior is Comfortable and does not feel tight on long trips. And mine has a woody package so it gets lots of attention. Gas mileage is best with premium gas. No major repairs or issues. Oh heck just plan love it.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Styling, Quality, fun factor

Cons: Just average gas mileage 18 city 28 highway

2004 Pt Cruiser — great overall, fun to drive, handles like a go cart, a lot of interior room, brakes go quick on it, handles very well in the snow ( as long as you have good tires ), I wish it gave better gas mileage.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: fun to drive

Cons: gas mileage

Pt Cruiser Touring Limited — Awesome car sporty and fun but can still carry 4 people. Definately go for the GT model if you want some punch on the freeway. My Touring limited model pushes out 180 hp at the wheels. go out and buy one

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: performance

Cons: shifting times

When Bought Used, A Great Car For The Money — Wolf in sheep's clothing. Sleeper car, and very practical. Good looking, and unique, very customizable. Handling leaves a bit to be desired, but improvements are relatively affordable. Comfortable on long trips, and just a cool car. Poor resale value, but that's fine if you're buying it used!

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: The look on WRX owners' faces when you outrun them

Cons: TERRIBLE resale value

A Great Girl Car, That Was The Whole Idea....... When I Bought It. — Nothing not to like, I love my car. Too bad so sad that they do not make it any more. It depends what you like in a car, it is certainly a chick car, but it works for me. Love my PT Cruiser....

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Fun to drive.

Cons: Hard to back up.
