The Best Vehicle I Have Ever Owned — Love the size, color (silver)and drivability. Gas mileage exceeds what I use to get with my Toyota Tacoma Prerunner V6. The only negative point is that the ride is too spungee. I plan on changing the suspension to a stiffer ride.

Owner for 3 years, 4 months

Miles Driven per Year:20,000

Pros: Power (5.3 liter V8) Comfortable

Cons: Front Right hand wheel suspension has a loose clangy sound when making left hand turns.

Great Truck. Rides Like A Car, Works Like A Mule. — Go drive this truck and you'll understand why the still small voice picked this over the Ford for me.

Drives Like A Cadillac — Awesome pickup. I installed airbags on the rear suspension and I can pull my 21' boat and load my Northern Lite Camper and go camping and boating. Great fuel mileage. 13 MPG with camper only. Pulling both, well you know how it is. I will never buy a ford truck again.

Pros: Smooth quiet ride.  5.3 Liter V-8 is quick and powerfull.  Crew cab enable me to load for camping/boating and still have room for the whole family.

Cons: Winter driving is a problem unless you add weight to the rear axle.

Good Truck, Was Virtually Trouble Free Till About 75k Miles — truck now has 85k miles and pass side mirror is inop. encoder motor has failed twice. rear shocks leaked at 40k miles. dash is flaking like every other chevy truck. radio controls are rubbing off. other than these things its a great truck.

This Is The First New Chevrolet Truck I Have Bought. — This truck has a 5.3 motor and autotrans. Is works great for pulling my camper or my horse trailer. Driving to work I can get 18 mpg. A great truck for the money.

Tough — Goes anywhere ... been all OVER Baja ... and from Savannah to San Felipe -- and back -- many times ... 285 BFG All-Terrains last 50K miles ... strong runner ... stock parking brakes (rear) are 110% worthless junk ... pulled the (trashed) "rattling" shoes last year ... all they did was rattle on stutter bumps ... added Bilstein "5160" reservoir dampers plus a "Detroit Locker" in the rear ... tow well ... torsion "keys" ... two spares ... Garmin "Nuvi 770" ... Lowrance "7200C" (hard-wired via 8 ga fused wiring) ... Yaesu AND iCom FM "race" radios (hard-wired via 8 ga fused wiring) ... under-seat rear storage ... bed tool box ... REAL "Hi-Lift" ranch jack ... straight-run intake pipe ... MagnaFlo side exhaust ... steel rear bumper ... four (4) LightForce running lights wired thru relays ...

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Large, quiet interior. 110K miles.

Cons: Large; has an out-of-date (i.e, 2013 era) cassette player  And a CD player ... I gave ALL mine away last year ...    Had to replace instrument cluster ... on-line supplier = $200.

I Love My Z 71 — it's just hard to beat a Chevrolet Silverado Z 71 4×4 with the 5.3 LM7 engine it handles heavy loads and don't beat you to death they get pretty good gas mileage. My truck has every option available from Chevrolet. There's no other truck for me.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: the most comfortable front seats I have ever set in   every power gadget that Chevrolet offers is packed inside.

Cons: The stepper motors have a tendency of going bad on the instrument panel and other annoying electrical problems.
