So So Bimmer — Cheap bimmer... not much power, feel "plastic-kie" interial. Interior space is good for it's size. Good if you want a Bimmer but do not to spend $50k plus... Maintenance cost would be expensive after the 4 years/48k miles... You get what you pay for... did I mention cheap, LOL?

    Pros: Cheap

    Cons: Power

Power, Power, Power... — Extremely Powerful for a 2.5 liter engine. A little rough around the edges, however its completely worth it. I've never experienced a moment where i thought the car was underpowered. The car is extremely fun to drive. On a comfort level, its stiff and a little uncomfortable, but perfect if your looking for performance

Pros: Great Performance, not terrible gas mileage, low ownership costs

    Cons: Expensive, a little uncomfortable

It's Nice, But I Miss My M3 — I'll let you know in a few weeks.

Pros: It's practical if you live in New England

    Cons: It doesn't have 338hp.

Perfect Suv (sav) For Around Town Purposes And Rough Weather — not bulky like its bigger brother the X5 but not small like a 3er.

Pros: X drive, smg capability, fantastic options, not over priced

Cons: off road capabilities are limited, bumpers are hard as a rock, back trunk windows dont go with the flow of the other windows

A Bit Too Volvo Driving Soccer Mum For My Tastes — the steering is way too light and the electronic throttle freaks me out. the seats can be a bit uncomfortable for long drives, but they do provide good grip and feel for the driver. the sports package is a bit rough with the factory 18" wheels but steers very diectly. the engine is a bit too "top end" for my liking, as you have to go half throttle or more to get it moving

Great Vehicle For The Family. —

I bought this car with 26k on it and fell in love with it. I love the 6-speed manual. The clutch is smooth as butter. The all wheel drive system is so smooth that you forget its there until suddenly you need it and you have traction while everyone else is spinning. I wish the UK diesel version was here. 50 miles per gallon instead of 17. The speakers and sound system are good for a factory system and there is an optional BMW part to hook up a earphone jack to the back of the head unit for your MP3 player/phone. (If you don't have the nav unit) There is one drawback. If you have the original springs/shocks/struts that BMW made for it and not the "sports pack" or an upgraded after-market set, then you will experience one of the worst stock systems in BMW history. My wife is 100% not a car person and she complained about how it felt going over bumps. I upgraded it with a Bilstein Yellow Shock/Strut set and Eibach Pro Springs. This firmed it up in a hurry and now it feels marvelous. Just make sure you check on them if you buy one as the original set was so bad that BMW dealers started refusing to accept them from the factory without the upgraded kit being pre-installed by BMW. This only affects the 04 model year. It's a good idea to look at them anyway on a used car.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Excellent feel and control.  Smooth clean ride and acceleration.  Good cargo space and reliability.

Cons: A couple small interior pieces have broken early.

Bmw X3 — unlike it's big brother the X5, the x3 is smaller, lighter and more appropriate not just for city driving but it can also take on cross country trips.. very spacious interior for maximum comfort... again, being a Beamer, it has a downside... high maintenance...

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

Pros: drivability, sporty steering and suspension

    Cons: high maintenance, weak suspension...
