    2004 Acura RSX Hatchback Review

Very Fun Car To Drive On A Daily Basis. — Looks great. Gets lots of attention, sometimes not wanted(police). Have to be careful about breaking laws because it gets too much attention. Great handling. Decent power for daily driving. Great gas mileage when you don't have a lead foot.

    Pros: Looks and performance

    Cons: none

Fun Driver With A Few Flaws — Great engine, but it has never done any better than 21-22 mpg. On the highway, the road noise is high. The 6 speed transmission has its flaws. Mine is sometimes stubborn shifting into 3rd if the revs are below 3000. I know others with problems popping out of gear. If you use the brakes hard, they will fade after 2 or 3 spirited stops. My '96 Prelude VTEC had twice the stopping power. No maintenance other than oil and filters so far, but it only has 15,000 miles. It's a good car that's fun to drive hard. Update: It's now November of 2011 and I just passed 26K miles. Still reliable, with no serious problems. The problem shifting into 3rd gear is getting worse. I have spoken to other owners with the same problem. A couple forums recommend changing the transmission oil to 90 weight. I may give that a try.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

    Pros: Great Engine

    Cons: Transmission, highway road noise
