It Will Get You In Trouble — The car is SICK! First off, it's a Volkswagen. German built quality all day. The car is solid. Without the VW logo on the steering wheel lookin you in the face, you would'nt guess it was a VW. Volkswagen is built to last and to impress!

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Plenty of power for a little car

Cons: Too much power?

I Want Another One. — i loved the power of the 1.8t with just a few mods. the handling was the best i've ever owend. most luxerious vehicle i've owned aswell. it did get great gas milage for a car that i beat on everyday.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: ton of room for high performance

Cons: expensive to maintian and mod

Good Vehicle. I Would Recommend To Those Possibly Looking Into The Car. — The performance is remarkable for the car that it is. It's small and lightweight so the hp/weight ratio is awesome. The build quality is alright. There are some things that i don't like about the body that I don't like but only for repair reasons. It still has a quaint sporty look to it. Exterior paint is in pristine condition. Few scratches but only if you're really looking for them. There is a "slight" dent in the rear fender but it's LITERALLY nothing. Interior is a two tone red/black cloth seats. Not a single tear. It's always kept up. Gas mileage is awesome. I ride anywhere I want and I don't use that much gas at all. It's incredible. Is this car fun to drive? Oh my gosh, yes. In fact last weekend me and Wild picked up some honeys one night in it but that's besides the point. So would I recommend this car to people? Yes! Absolutely :)

Pros: Quick, more room than you think (for family/friends), reliable motor if taken care of. I don't want to call it a luxary car but it's smooth and comfortable.

Cons: If you're looking to race, look around for a different car. Don't get me wrong now. This car is quick and with a few bucks and some mods this car will smoke alot of things, but VW is all about easy driving. Don't hurt this car and race it too much. Take care of it, and it will take care of you :)

Its A Collectors Item — This is a great car. good on gas. very quick and handles well. its not a race car so if your in your lil honda civic with a loud fart can on it, try not to taunt me in with reving your exhaust. i am not going to race you, i just know that my ride is clean and i dont dog out my rides.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: saves gas

Cons: you cant

It Is An Excellent Car And The Whole Is Definitely Greater Than The Sum Of The Parts. — All around performance of this car is well above average. It has a bit of the "sleeper" quality about it. Many people on the road simply see a little vw hatchback and assume it doesn't have any performance. These people are usually very surprised when I open the throttle leave 'em behind. It is starting to show its age in some ways as more and more cars have higher horsepower, but I plan on installing a supercharger in a few years and this should take careoblem nicely.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: very quick, excellent 6 speed manual trtansmission

Cons: CD player went out within first year

Happy Anniversary! — This car is awesome... but there's always room for improvement. As far as performance goes, it's really nice. The car drives really well, it's super zippy (thanks to a small but effective turbo) and picks up really nicely. As far as the appearance, I think it's beautiful. However, it'd look better with a different grille. It also looks very smooth with the spoiler (as opposed to other models that come without them - they look somehow incomplete). And the quality! The GTI is built in a way that makes perfect sense. A lot of people discourage the purchase of German cars because repairs are complicated and/or expensive... I haven't had any problems with unaffordable repairs or things we're unable to fix without a mechanic's help. All in all, it's a smart buy and a fun drive.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Speedy, looks nice, guaranteed to get many looks on the road.

Cons: Can't think of one reason not to buy it!

Happy Anniversary — I would have to say, this car is about as close to perfect as is possible w/ stepping on Audi toes. The seating is sporty as all get-out without being un-livable in the day-to-day; the ride is taunt, but not harsh; it lacks the weight penalties of the .:R's VR lump & 4Motion drivetrain and the styling is just enought to set it apart from the pack of 'normal' GTI's. The only thing lacking woulb the additional horsepower of it's cousin, the TT225, and that's fixable with just a few aftermarket tweeks. If you're looking for a sporty yet practical car based on the Mk4 platform, this is one car you shouldn't pass up.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Just about everything

Cons: Needs a bit more power out of the box.

My Gti #1776 — awesome car with loads of fun stuff inside. being a 6 speed means you do a wee bit more shifting but its alright. if i could change anything i would put a twin turbo kit on it haha then it would have around 400 hp.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: turbo= more fun :D

Cons: hmm, maybe engine could be bigger. its only a 1.8

2003 Vw — '03 VW GTI VR6! Red with 17 inch alloy rims. 200hp V6 engine goes from 0-60 in just over 7 seconds. This is not a VW Golf. Super fun to drive...handling is godlike...takes corners like a roller coaster.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: 200hp

Cons: none
