Great Truck — What can I say? It's a Toyota. Good balance between 4WD capabilities, being a truck, and a highway vehicle.

Loveit — Loveit, Loveit, Loveit. Wish I still had it, sold it to pay for some other toys after purchasing a Tundra in 2010. Love the Tundra as well, but certainly not as much of a joy to drive as the Tacoma. I see myself being in the market for another in the near future. Dependability and reliability were stellar. Aside from a couple of water pump replacements under warranty, I didn't have any issues with the truck until it reached 130k miles. Even then, it was just wear and tear maintenance.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Pretty much everything. This truck lasted me a good long time. In the last few years of ownership it was a lot of fun to modify, with plenty of aftermarket equipment and support available.

    Cons: Light back-end.

An Amazing Reliable Vehicle — I give this car out of a 9/10. This truck is very reliable, has good mpg and I never had to worry about it breaking down. It has a smaller bed space then I wanted, but it had still had enough room to fit a toolbox and a four wheeler.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: An amazing and reliable car, never had a problem with it even with so many miles on it.

    Cons: Small bed

Great For A Second Vehicle If You Have A Family. Very Dependable. — Truck is a good compromise of size and power. A 6 foot bed which totes everything I need along with a 5K lb towing capacity. It will handle 95% of what you will probably throw at it and come back for more. With a newer set of BFGs or Firestone Destination AT tires, I have been very successful in snow, mud, ice, rain etc. Great truck for just about anything.

Pros: Compact size, fair amount of power for fuel economy. Reliability

Cons: No suicide doors for ext cab like the Ford Ranger of the same era.
