Excelant — very nice car to drive. but it can be expensive for genuine parts. i have the 1.9 tdi 110 bhp and its an excelant engine with alot of toque to it. 0-60 time is good as well as the top speed.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: torquey engine

Cons: none

Robs Review? — Its quick, (especially now its remaped) and still averages +50mpg. (even when caning it) Only downside is the ride is quite firm due to the OEM sports suspension. Can be a bit rattley with the sub kicking out the bass, otherwise good. TDI's are solid, mines done 109K miles, produces 148bhp - 236lbs/ft, after a few mods, and never misses a beat. One of the best looking hatchbacks you can get for the money. Hangs on in the corners, can also have a laugh with lift off oversteer and surprising people with derv power!

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Quick, Economical, Looks Good.

Cons: They have a known door seal problem that can cause leaks. Easy Fix though.

Seat Leon 1.6 — A solid car....slow, though with the 1.6 16v engine. That used to be a flyer in the Golf ( which the Leon is under the skin). Still it has the same solid feeling inside and out, with a massive boot and airy cabin. The seats are pretty comfy and it goes where it's pointed on the large 205/17 wheels, not that theres enough power to get into trouble. Fuel economy...middling, as it needs to be revved to go anywhere. That said it is reliable and solid. Best off with the 1.9 TDi or TDi Cupra.

Pros: Space, build, reliablity

Cons: Woeful performance

Slow But Its On Rails — Nice car to drive, needs a bigger engine! Handles like a dream. Only problem is the anti roll bar rubs on the driveshaft :S

Pros: Handling and comfort

Cons: Performance

Pros: fast 143mph top end, with economy avg 45mpg

Cons: it`s not a cupra

The MK2 Seat Leon was launched in 2005. I have the 2006 model with a few options. Good fun car to throw about, but the 1.9 TDi lets it down. Opt for the 2.0 TDi with the 6-speed box. Much more refine... Read More
