I Like It A Lot. — It's a good car, however the fourways keep making a clicking sound and GM doesnt want to fix it! Its fast, not the fastest but it moves, I just wish the fourways would stop making a clicking sound and the stearing needs to be firmer for the power it has.

Pros: Good enough power for the car it is.

Cons: the stearing isnt firm and fourways keep making a clicking sound

Olds Alero — overall this is a fun car to drive keeping in mind that it is not a race car or a high end sports car. the Alero's have excellent leg room and head room making it easy for tall people to comfortably drive. performance wise the Alero was Available with 4 or 6 cylinder engines the 6 cylinder 3400 power plant came with about 170 hp and the 4 cylinder with 150 hp in the older 2.4L engine and 140hp in the newer 2.2L. unfortunately the car's were built with run of the mill suspension systems that were far from impressive and gave the car ugly wheel gap. Appearance wise the car is rather sporty for a family car and with little research and custom modifications you can make the Alero even more appealing. although the interior is rather weak. as for the cost in owning Alero is pretty much the same as any other economical American made car, but keep in mind these cars will require regular maintenance and you can expect your average ware and tear. and for anyone looking to modify their Alero there are plenty of parts and accessories available for the Alero, but you'll have to put in a little bit of research.

Pros: Economical, plenty of room, plenty of power for a daily driver, supercharger kit Available for 2.4L

Cons: The OSV Alero never made it to market, Not enough supercharger kits produced for the 3400 v6

Alero Not Too Fancy, But Sharp And Solid. — Love the look and ride. The eco-tec engine is much better than the engine before. It handles higher speeds well, and doesn't feel the excelleration as bad as previous engines in its class. I don't like steel rims and hub caps in general, but the difference on this car is night and day. Aluminium rims look so much nicer on the Alero.

Pros: Very smooth ride with wide 15" tires

Cons: A little too heavy for the 4 Cylinder Engine

An Alright V6. — Has pretty good passing power, but slow acceleration. The newer Alero's have more and better options like power seats.

    Pros: Good passing power.

Cons: Stock tires are expensive to replace.

My Car Baby — I love the coupe! I've considered a 4 door but I can't bring myself to change. The Alero has a lot of space and is very comfortable to ride and drive in. The exterior is firm and held up well in a crash for me. I drove a 1999 Alero GLS Coupe and unfortunately totaled it in an accident. I was so impressed with the way it held up with the hit that I decided to buy the same car again only this time newer! I feel safe in my Alero and would reccomend it to anyone!

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: I love the sportiness of it!

    Cons: Nothing as of yet!

Runs Nice And For A Long Time. Keep Up Maintance And It Will Run Forever — This was a great car til the end. It had very little problem mainly because it sat for a year. It was my first car and would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice car with good MPG The Oldsmobile Alero is your choice!

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: The look of the Coupes are a lot better then the sedan. Fuel pump went out and it sat for a while a had few minor problems one with the Manifold other then that it drove nice and could take a beating til someone smashed into the front and totaled the car

Cons: it could have been better then it was
