2003 Mitsubishi Galant ES V6Review

A Quick And Direct Breakdown On The Mitsubishi Galant Es-v6: The Last Of It's Kind... — Decent room, nice gas mileage, great acceleration, inexpensive to buy or fix. Great product for it's price. Has great reliability and low maintenance cost. Sleek exterior design for any college student to enjoy while going thru college. Only negative I would say is that it's lack interior design, and it's a light car as far as weight is concerned, so it may be a risk in the wintertime if you have a lead foot. Comfortable ride for it's size. I would definetely recommend this car to anyone who can't afford a top model but is looking for reliability for a low cost. Definetely a great starter car for anyone who's in college, just going into the corporate world, or is looking for economy costs.

Pros: Nice acceleration, good reliability, good overall product for it's cost, has great upside for personalization. A poor's man Honda Accord, Toyota Camry, or Nissan Altima...

Cons: Light weight may cause slight trouble in winter time, slight snug on inside for size of sedan, lacks interior style of design.

Recked — I loved it, right up until I flipped it. It was the GTZ model which has the upgraded performance suspension, high output 3.0L engine, four wheel disc brakes, more aggresive body kit, ect. After purchasing I did sevreral upgrades such as four slotted and crossdrilled roters, intake and exaust, installed seven TV screens, navigation, aftermarket 19 inch wheels, ect. I loved this car and hope to own another one someday.

Pros: Im alive

Cons: Its not

Bang For Your Bucks!!! — She had done 98000 miles when i bought her. For that kind of a mileage the build quality is excellent. Performace is not breath taking but descent for the class, I have had couple of camries and accords gasping for their breath when put against her. It is a fun and easy car to drive with good all round visibility.

Pros: Value For Money and the big car feel

Cons: Nothing much, may be the trunk could have had bit more usable space

Japan Build Galant Se Hj — This is the 2.0L 5-spd, not the VR-4. But it is still a very nice drive. Free reving engine is torqy, but is lacking the power of the awesome VR-4. Very sleek styling inside and out. Far superior to the Australian built 2002 model.

Mitsubishi Galant For Beginners — reliable...good gas mileage, runs smooth, hadnt had a problem yet. Not much of a speed racer but more of a family sedan. Not much to look at either, although i find attractive.

Pros: Gas Mileage, Space, Dependable, easy to repair and modify, stock speakers unbelievable

Cons: Not fast at all, not much to look at, dont like the color too much

Nice Driving — There isn't a lot I dislike about the vehicle, I think I said it all in the Cons. Handling is extremely responsive; gas mileage on long trips averages 36 mpg at 65 mph; city driving is a consistent 27+ mpg with speeds varying between 60 - 65 mph. Even though this is the 2.4 4-cylinder engine, it performs very well when accelerating onto the freeway. Plenty get-up-and-go. I would not recommend this car to a friend because of all the money we have had to put into the a/c - heater controls and it still is not working correctly. Mitsubishi needs to come up with something better, or go back to the type of controls our 1990 Mighty Max Pickup has. We've never had any trouble out of it. Because of this and the poor dealership in Tulsa, Oklahoma, we will not purchase another Mitsubishi.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Good gas mileage, decent power for a 4-cylinder

Cons: Extremely poor engineering for a/c - heater controls ; cables constantly bind causing operator to override with foot or hand by reaching under the dash to pull/push cables.
Extremely poor service from local dealer.

My Galant Gtz — I really enjoy my galant. it is a peppy little 4 door sedan that has a good amount of room without being a boat of a car. it kinda fun to mess around with people sometimes because although it is a 4 door the car can get up and move and i find it intertaining to see the shock on the face of a punk kid in a 90s camaro, firebird etc. that just got smoked by a grocery getter! HA!! it only gets about 24mpg on the high way but this car was not well cared for by it's previous owners, and has very high miles, but is still a great little car to drive.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: good little 4 door car with lots of room and very comfortable to ride in.

Cons: doesnt get the gas mileage that i would like to get out of it but it is older with high miles.

Was overall a good vehicle to own. Reliable, and I only got rid of it because I couldnt afford to fix all the things that were wearing out on it with age, plus I needed a vehicle with more leg room for tall people like me.
