Boss 03 Mercedes Benz Sl 55 Amg — I just like the way this car drives. In all honesty the car is'int as roomy as i would like but the seats can be adjusted for some proper driving, you don't exactly want to slack with so much power at your feet. For such a rigid suspension The SL is relatively smooth over surfaces sorta didn't expect that. The car comes with some pretty cool features including ride height for the spirited driving.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: The SL55 AMG is very Sporty with lots of class. This SL55 AMG Sounds amazing. It has such a nice growl from the exhaust and handles well!! I think its accurate to say, you'll have some fun with it.

Cons: The SL55 AMG isint the roomiest car as it seems to have a race inspired roadster feel. Although the exhaust note sounds great if your not into the growl of this V8 the cabin may get noisy for you

Great Convertible Merz For The Money. — Car looks absolutely gorgeous and is fun to drive. For the money you can't beat a Mercedes convertible used. This is my third one and I really like them. I will say they are a little costly to maintain, but if can get around that they are a beautiful car to own and drive. Your in a whole different class when driving a Mercedes, even a 10 or 20 year old one.

Pros: Beautiful, fun driving, comfortable riding car.  Powerful and everything electrical great Bose sound system.

Cons: Mercedes dealorships are expensive.  Find a local guy that works on them and keep all records.  Not the most fuel efficient; you give that up for the power.

Expensive, Thirsty And Many Cheap Components. — This is a good looking car and is ok for short trips; rides well. No storage for golf bags, luggage or even a beer cooler. MB picked up some cheap production shortcuts from Chrysler and the trim and plastic parts are not MB quality. Hydraulic suspension system has been replaced on all four wheels by the dealer at a cost of about $900 per wheel.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Draws looks, drives well and good passing

Cons: 2003 is a model year change MB and they picked up a lot of bad habits Chrysler.transi

2003 Sl 500 Amg Sport Conv. — I love it, my wife loves that she's talked me into getting rid of it... too many cars in the stable. I've got 3 other cars that get driven more often. This is definately a car you'd want on a sunny day!

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: gets lots of looks, like driving a 100K+ car for a fraction of the price

Cons: somewhat expensive to maintain, dealer service is really good service tho

Classy Runabout. — The car is ideal for top-down touring on winding farm to market roads and little used state highways. We explored new neighborhoods and old town sqaures. Although it has a high top speed, we used it very little on interstates.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Looks good, feels good.

Cons: No complaints, it's perfect for what we bought it for.

A Beast Of A Car; 5.5 Litre V8 With Almost 500bhp. — Goes like stink and sounds gorgeous! Full of gadgets and clever stuff. Active body control adjusts the suspension independantly on all four corners as you drive to reduce body roll, pitch and yaw. Electronic braking, the brake pedal is weighted with springs to make it feel like your pressing something. The car senses when the road is wet and gently touches the brakes occasionaly to keep the discs dry!

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Wonderful sound when you plant your foot. Great to have the electric tin roof for those summer cruising days.

Cons: Dealership charges are tremedous and fuel economy is..... poor

Just Great — This German machine is one of the best convertible I ever drove, from noise, wind, handling, and lots of fun just to be in it. This was the car I always hunted for all over the U.S.A and finally found the one for me. The color Designo, silver at night, and I don't know what color during the day. It deserve five stars ****** overall. It is a keeper for my kids and grand kids. I LOVE IT.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: NO NOISE, LITE WIND.

Cons: NONE

A Lovely All Year Around Car For Two People. — When I grow old and the kids have moved out I would not mind buying something similar again. Mercedes must improve the quality if I am to consider an SL 55 again, and I truly hope they do because it is a lovely car.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: The perfect car for two people that wants it all.

Cons: Quality is not good enough.

Excellent — This is a launch Designo edition of the current style of Merceds Benz SL. The color is Launch Edition green which I think is beautiful. It is a sure pleasure to drive. On mild days it really a pleasure to pop the top and enjoy my commute throught the hills and back country home.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Pleasure and Pride of Ownership

Cons: Fuel Mileage
