Most Smiles Per Gallon — This car handles like a go-kart, great acceleration, excellant cornering. Gets good mileage if you don't get up on it but does cost a bit to maintain as all the parts are BMW. But at the end of the day this car always has a smile on my face Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) Pros: FUN! Cons: Small size ![]() Looking for a Used Cooper in your area?CarGurus has 3,931 nationwide Cooper listings starting at $1,999. |

It's Fun, But Expensive And Lacks In Practicalilty- But Makes Up For It In Build Quality. — I love the handling! It's like a go-cart... the appearance is also very nice. I don't like how impractical it is. The cup holders aren't big enough for American sized drinks and there's really not enough cargo space. The back seat isn't half bad considering it is a Mini, however I wouldn't want to be back there for more than 45 minutes- tops! Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: FUN FUN FUN. Cons: SMALL SMALL SMALL |

2003 Mini Cooper S — My favorite car that I have owned! Performance: With the supercharger, I had no problems getting anywhere quick. The entire time I had it, I had a whole lot of fun zipping in and out. Handling was a dream, like a go cart with great suspension, and the drivetrain ran smoothly, like a well oiled engine. Build: This was extremely solid. I can not name a car that was better. I was scared at first, knowing it was so small. But after examining everything, I became very confident in my vehicle. Appearance: It turned heads everywhere! The pin stripes were a wonderful addition to the blue, and the white top fit well. Cost: Everything the right price except for the loan payments. Fun: Never had anything better!! Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: Everything! Cons: Loan Payments |

My Mini — Got every gadget imaginable in a small pocket rocket. Go Kart performance :), reliable always and very comfortable for long journeys as well. Dark Grey with full panoramic sunroof, sat nav and full leather is the way to go. Love it. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) Pros: Performance Cons: Nothing |

Max "carfun" Footprint — MINI's are incredibly fun to drive. They feel solid and handle great. But, you do sacrifice practicality. As one magazine put it, the MINI is a design study that happens to have a reasonable amount of utility. If you're OK with that, you'll love a MINI. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) Pros: Styling and handling Cons: Cost of repairs |

Love It — 195 HP version due to remapping, excellent car all over. Extra power and still gives a good return of around 8 litres per 100 kms. Excellent car for driving here in Portugal with lots of tight and twisty roads to play on. Still a head turner, but that's when Kirsten is driving it lol. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) Pros: It's sooo coool Cons: Get out of my way dude |

A Blast To Drive. — Easily the funnest car for the money. Performance is superb. Quick acceleration, and a wonder to behold in the turns. There are not many complaints on build quality, but some of the trim is a bit second rate. Application of felt tape or something along that line, will take care of most of those problems. Great styling will ensure this will be a cool little car for sometime, and though some may call it a bit ginger beer, I've gotten more than a few ladies complimenting me and my ride. Parts are expensive, so hopefully you've got some warranty left if something breaks, or hope that you've got a good one and that you'll not need to take it in to the shop. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) Pros: One of the best handling cars out there. Cons: high mileage on the first gen S's is a thing to watch out for. That supercharger/water pump combo often goes out up in the 6 digits. |

Mini -- Not For Me! — The MINI is a cool car, no doubt. It was not the car for me. My opinions are based on the following. First, the engine was wheezy! It never felt responsive. It always felt like it was responding more to itself than t me. Checkmark 1. Second, the traction control was terrible. Mine did not have the LSD which it should have. In the rain or light snow, the car stayed home. Checkmark 2. Third, the handling was to me was unpredictable. The car is beyond doubt, a great handling car. However, in my hands, it wasn't. It felt like there a point where the car was on rails but would slip off those rails at will. Forth, the build quality was low. Rattles, noises, latches breaking, etc. At the price I paid, I expected more. Pros: Power, Coolness, Looks Cons: Engine, Build Quality, Handling Traits not for everyone! |
