Fun Car To Drive. Other Than The Front Bumper On The 03-04, Very Sexy Lines. Get A V6 W/ Manual. — Lets see...~180hp 2.7L V6 w/ a 6-speed manual = quick, fun, sexy...but with having gone through 3 previous clutches, one must be careful of how to drive the car. Other than the curse of possible early clutch failure, the car is well put togwether with nice lines and a clean interior. It is a decent economy car as well with its 25 or so mpg on the higfhway, as long as you keep up with the maintenance work. it is also a very personality-friendly vehicle...one can have much fun customizing it to suit there own look.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

    Pros: Fun. Stylish. Sexy.

Cons: 03-06 are prone to early clutch failure but most are lucky and will last quite a ways past the supposed miles.

Can Make This A Really Fun Car — Loved this car. It was the first new car that I bought. It had no issues, but sold it at over 96k miles. I was able to all of the work on this car myself. There are a decent amount of manufactures out there.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

    Pros: Upgrades

    Cons: Poor torque converter

Great For Summer Driver Or Long Distance Traveling — Handles pretty good , very good braking , great on gas, not extreamly fast by any means, good looking sporty interior, cheap to buy, not the cheapest car to repair , fun to drive, has the pontentail to be a great tuner car

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

    Pros: Great on gas

    Cons: Not good in snow

The Best Car I've Owned So Far. — performance -- Got on the low end, more than average torque.. Build quality - everything breaks appearance -- its sexy! Cost of ownership -- a bit expensive. Fun factor -- HELLA FUN, I like to power slide around sharp turns doing 45 mph or so.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: The carbon fiber hood, the short ram intake, the oil I use

Cons: The parts, the prices of aftermarket parts

I Do Not Regret Buying It! — 2003 Hyundai Tiburon GTV6 (6-Speed Manual) From first glance the car is a sharp looking ride. The only thing that stands out are the headlights with their bright orange reflectors but that is easily taken care of with the vast aftermarket and DIY options. At certain angles, this car can look like a Mustang, Supra, and Porsche put together into one vehicle and as per this point, it takes qualities from each one. From the factory, Tiburons have low horsepower; only 171 whp. However, the lightness and higher torque (181 lbs) seem to make up for it. The stock 0-60 is 7.2 seconds, not bad for the small 2.7 liter V6. Personally, I got the car to run 10.00 seconds on the 1/8 mile without ANY modifications. Fast? No, but again, not bad for a little N/A V6. Where power is lacking from the factory, the aftermarket comes in with multiple supercharger and turbo options. The good thing people may not think is true, is that this car is incredibly easy to tune and with factory forged steel rods and crank, you can boost the factory engine up to 300 whp as a daily driver without concern. One con is the FWD, however it still grips pretty well from a dig and on the turns. The car handles pretty nicely on turns even in the 60 MPH area. Its not bad on gas and with Hyundai's maintenance program things go pretty smoothly. Overall, the car isn't the most powerful or best looking but the aftermarket scene takes care of that. Are the performance parts cheap? No, but they are excellent quality and well worth the cost if you are looking to modify your Tiburon. The car is user friendly, shifts and rides smooth, and I love driving it!

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: It's a budget friendly vehicle with many aftermarket options and girls love it!

Cons: Looking for lots of power from the factory engine? This is not your ride.

Its A Car That You Wont Regret Buying. — This is the first car I have owned and if they are all as good as this I will be really happy. Everytime I get into the car and drive off down the road I have a giant grin accross my face. Performance wise its not great, slightly underpowered could do with 30-40hp more, but is easily made up with a performance exhaust and a cold air intake. The sound the 2.7V6 makes though is absolutely fantastic. The gearbox is great aswell the 6 speed is great especially if you enjoy changing gear. Handling is awesome will understear if pushed to hard but its a front wheel drive car so what do you really expect. It brakes real good for normal everyday use, although there are reports of them fading during track use. Build quality has been suprisingly great. A clutch and flywheel failure is the only problem I have had, and replaced that with a racing clutch and lightweight aluminum flywheel. My Tiburon does rattle a little but I have lowered the suspension and i'm running a low profile tire, so to be expected really. Appearence wise I love this car, the amount of comments I get about how good it looks is incredible really. And someone even asked if it was a porshe! I laughed at him. Tiburon is spanish for shark and with the grills on the side almost looking like gills it kind of has that shark like appearence. The interior is great to alot of plastic, but its not overly tacky. Having the aluminum accent package it really gives it a sporty feel. The seats are comfortable, extreamly supportive and hold you right where you need to be when cornering hard. The sound system is great I run a stock system and its more than loud enough for anything you want to do with it. The gas mileage could be far better. With the exhaust I put on though, it sounds great excelerating hard and so its hard to keep the mileage at its best. Maintenance is fine, and is generally dependant on how hard you use the car. But generally if you keep up with schedualed mainenance your fine. This car is epically good fun to drive and like I said earlier it puts a giant smile on my face every time I drive it. And it comes in at the low end of the price scale with other cars in its catagory.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: The fun involved with it, great fun for a good price.

    Cons: Nothing springing to mind.

Love My Tibby — I love the looks outside and in.. The only problem with the looks is the front bumper.. I cant wait to get the Angular one. Performance wise.. I don't know if its just age, But the suspension is a bit soft. Its a little bit lacking in mid range power for a 2.0 thats not rediculously heavy.. But it is decent on gas :) I love the car, and in the near future I have plans to fix her im perfections ;D

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

    Pros: Looks, Brakes, Comfort.

    Cons: Suspension, Wierd power curve.
