Wow, For Starters...followed By A Huge Anti-treehuggin' Smile. — I just got it so the newness has yet to wear off. It's the beginning of the cold season so when winter finally hits I'm sure I'll love it even more. I'll hate having to replace the tires but hey...it's a HUMMER :D OK, so now I have to replace the tires and I'm sure it will be around $1,300. It handles not so great in the snow with the tires it has so we'll see what new tires do.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: SIZE!!! Weight!!!  I really can't say enough about it, either you love them or you hate them.
POWER - It is what it is, it's nothing any more special than any other mid-size truck
LOOKS/STYLE - It's a Hummer :)
MAINT/COST - No big bills from it as of yet (owned for a year now)
BACK SEATS - Plenty of room
HANDLING - Really tight turn radius, drives fine down the road
FRONT SEAT - Awesome!
RELIABILITY - 1 year and no issues
FAMILY CAR - Absolutely, all kinds of room seating for 6
PRICE - I bought it when it was 12 years old, paid $10,000
CARGO CAPACITY - All kinds of room
OVERALL - LOVE IT!!

Cons: SNOW/ICE - Maybe it's the tires but it doesn't seem as stable as I hoped with snow, ice, slush.
FUEL ECONOMY - It's a Hummer so 17mpg AT BEST

2003 Hummer H2 Sport Utility — There is no doubt the exterior design is unique, it really stands out amongst everything else. But being in the driver seat is what sold me. It handles well, drives smoothly, the visibility is phenomenal, and the overall comfort is great. Shortly thereafter, I bought a lightly used h2. After owning it these past few years, I can say I definitely made the right choice. It feels solid in heavy snow and pouring rain, it isn't as hard to park as you might think, and every seat is adequately spacious for an adult.

Pros: Loaded with plenty of standard features
More practical cargo storage space than in the H2 wagon
Power everything
Best in its class off-road capabilities, with steep approach and departure angles and plenty of ground clearance
Trailer-towing capacity
Hitch receivers and wiring looms on both front and rear bumpers (useful for guiding a trailer, or extricating other vehicles with the optional Warn winch)
Adequate head room for all passengers -- front and rear
Convertible "feel" when all windows, mid-gate, and sunroof are opened
Customizable cargo area: Simply lower the power midgate window, fold down the 2nd row of seats, and the midgate easily lays into the cabin
9-speaker BOSE music system with in-dash cassette/CD player (a 6-disc CD changer is optional) with rear-seat audio controls and headphone jacks

Cons: You can't put the tailgate down to add a tailgate extender (since the spare tire would swing around in traffic), so you are limited to hauling only what fits in the bed and stops at the tailgate.
Tan (or "wheat") leather seats are standard, regardless of exterior color, with optional black leather
Highway merging and passing take patience, as it takes some time to get this behemoth up to speed
Chunky appearance, with a chopped off truck bed
Negotiating traffic isn't as easy as negotiating obstacles off-road in this vehicle
Extreme width makes parking and maneuvering in town tricky
Road noise is a nuisance, especially at speeds over 60mph
Some dashboard features appear cheap for such a high-priced vehicle
Must use running boards and hand grips to enter/exit
Rear visibility is hindered by roof pillars, rear headrests, and spare tire -- all blocking much of the rear window
Rear seat is too cramped for three adults
When folded down, the midgate sits several inches above the cargo-bed floor, hindering slide-in loading of long objects
Tailgate is very heavy (thanks to the attached, swing-out spare tire) and very high off the ground
Limited pass-through size at the midgate
Poor fuel economy (though it's to be expected)

Head Turner! — A Hummer is the perfect vehicle for folks who don't care about fuel economy and minor annoyances. I wish it had a little more power, but it's perfect for road trips (great road vehicle) and nobody gets in your way. Also, a clean, well-kept Hummer is stunning to look at. Each time I think about selling it, I get slapped back to reality. According to Marketwatch.com, It's just quite possible that Hummers could be collectors items in the near future! Enjoy!

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Style, comfort, off road ability, interior space - All around a perfect vehicle asthetically

Cons: Be prepared to have deep pockets on older Hummers. Although a very well-built and solid vehicle, little annoyances like air suspension failures and various squeaks and rattles will drive you crazy! Also, I'm hesitant to mention the poor fuel economy, but if you're buying a Hummer, this should not be your concern.

Good Family All In One — Lifted Hummmer H2 gets around very well in city & on highway. The Hummer gets around 13 MPG and is very nice looking. Maintenance is reasonable along with great reliability. The vehicle has 3rd row seating so no one is left behind.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Roomy

Cons: Very Big

Its Like Nothing Else. — I like the looks of it with the vertical windows. Its very strong with many drive train options for off roading. Its designed to climb a 60% grade and traverse a 40% side slope. The extra wide body helps to achieve this.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Very powerful and excellent off road. It has the torque of a Sherman tank. Very smooth ride even on the rough trails.

Cons: The gas mileage 11 mpg. To be expected on a 4 ton vehicle.
