Engin And Suspension — this civic is not a performance car .. have a good clutch start but the single overhead cam engine deliver a wors power rpm .. the suspension to smooth ,, the brake are good .. gaz millage is perfect , one of the best in this class .. so i thing a civic 2003 coupe whit the 1,7 (b17b) engine is a greate all around car . not a lot of power but is enought to have fun .. but is a great road travel car and perfect for a small famyllie .. the body look good , the inside too .. but like all honda car the body metal is not very tought my honda have a couple spot of rust on hood , all honda have this problem .. but nice car

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: economic - versatility - nice car

Cons: soch engine ( single over head cam engine )

A Review — With 190K miles on the odo I put down $2.7K & ~$1.5K more to fix it. Iit gets me back and forth to work without making me feel improper (like the previous transport). Performance: When your frame of reference is other high mileage econo cars, the performance is better. Handling is far better, acceleration is somewhat better. Build Quality: At 190K miles, I'd say the build quality is excellent. Appearance: Snail iMAGED Cost of Ownership: Excellent, part of the reason I purchased. The first 1K miles netted me 27mpg with the o2 sensor still needing replacement. Fun Factor: 5 speed close ratio is definitely fun. But it desperately needs a 6th gear, which was addressed in 2006.

Pros: $ per car

Cons: Overall car, reguardless of $

2003 Honda Civic Si — Not too fast but still a good car. I probably wont get rid of her. With the motor in the car, the K20A3, its not as quick as the other K-series motors. K20A2 or K20Z3 wouldve been much better and more suited for this car. Dash-mounted shifter and bucket seats are a nice touch. Car also should've come with the OEM JDM Type R aerokit. Car looks much cleaner with that lip kit versus the USDM bumpers that stick out further.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Different from ALL Civics.

Cons: The cheaply K20A3 motor.

I Love It. The Only Thing I Would Change Is Using A K20a2 (rsx-s Engine) Instead Of The K20a3. — I love my car a lot. It's build quality is amazing, the car is super comfortable, and it is a blast to drive. It has all the power you need to get you where you need to go in a hurry and you will have a blast when you are doing it!

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: High Performance Hatch

Cons: um...if you don't like hatched?

I'd Buy It Again. — The car is reliable, hasn't needed more than minor maintenance. It accelerates well, gets great gas mileage, is fun to drive. It could be a bit better on ice and in snow. As they say, it's a great little car.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Economical.

Cons: Nothing.
